11. Example Hajj pilgrimage is one of our duties as a Moslem. Every year, thousands of people from around the world take part in this activity, including our people from Indonesia. Hajj or Hajj Pilgrimage is one of rukun Islam. As we know that there are five pillars in rukun Islam, and Hajj pilgrimage is the fifth. Rukun Islam contains the foundation of our religion. It consists of five pillars or duties that we have to do in our life. Those five duties are: Syahadat , Salat or Sholat , Saum or fasting during Ramadan, Zakat and Hajj pilgrimage. Every moslem , with no exception, have to carry out these duties, and that is just how important Hajj pilgrimage is for a moslem . he other duties in rukun Islam are obligatory for all moslem with no exception, this is actually the same with Hajj pilgrimage, but Hajj pilgrimage is only obligatory for those who are physically and financially capable of taking the journey. Why? Because Hajj pilgrimage requires you to travel to Mecca ( Mekkah ) which will definitely requires some money and god condition of the body. This regulation doesn’t mean that you are free of this duty if you are poor or if you are not physically ready for the journey. so if you are a moslem you have to do it.
