Types of tenses: There are 3 types of major tenses: Present tense Past tense Future tense 4 minor types: Simple/Indefinite Continuous Perfect Perfect continuous

Simple tense: Three types of simple tense or indefinite: Present simple or indefinite tense Past indefinite tense Future indefinite tense Simple tense means a simple sentence.

Present indefinite tense: Structure: Subject + verb first (V1) + s/es + object Example: I teach English. He teaches E nglish. He plays in garden.

Past indefinite tense: Structure: Subject + Verb second form (V2) + object Example: He taught Physics. I played so much. I ate an apple.

Future indefinite tense: Structure: Subject + will + verb first form + Object Example: I will learn this subject tomorrow. He will teach E nglish today. He will play cricket tomorrow.

Continuous tense: Three types: Present continuous tense Past continuous tense Future continuous tense Continuous tense means the thing which we doing continuously.

Present continuous tense: Structure: Subject + is/am/are + ing + object Example: He is teaching this subject. They are playing in garden. I am playing right now.

Past continuous tense: Structure: Subject + was/were + ing + object Example: He was teaching this subject. They were playing in garden. I was doing my work.

Future continuous tense: Structure: Subject + will be + ing + object Example: I will be doing my work. They will be playing in the garden. He will be parking his car.

Perfect tense: Three types: Present perfect tense Past perfect tense Future perfect tense Perfect tense means the work that a person will be doing.

Present perfect tense: Structure: Subject + has/have + Verb 3 rd form + object Example: He has done his work. They have played soo much in garden. I have wrote a letter.

Past perfect tense: Structure: Subject + had + Verb 3 rd form + Object Example: He had done his work. I had wrote a letter. They had played cricket.

Future perfect tense: Structure: Subject + Will have + verb 3 rd form + object Example: I will have wrote a letter. He will have enjoyed party. They will have enjoyed party.

Present perfect continuous tense: Structure: Subject + has/have + been + ing + object + since/for + time Example: He have been living here since 2 nd of April. I have been doing this work for 2 hours. They have been playing cricket for 2 hours.

Past perfect continuous tense: Structure: Subject + had been + ing + object + since/for + time Example: I had been living here for 5 years. He had been doing his work for 5 hrs. They had been waiting at bus stop since last night.

Future perfect continuous tense: Structure: Subject + will have been + ing + object + since/for + time Example: I will have been living here for 6 years. He will have been waiting for your since Monday. They will have been seeing movies since yesterday.
