4 Definition of Entrepreneurship & Entrepreneur What is Entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurship refers to an individual’s ability to turn ideas into action . Entrepreneurship Is the dynamic process of creating incremental wealth. Entrepreneurship is an organizational and management approach that enables persons to respond to change and solve problems in whatever situation . Entrepreneurship is the act of being an entrepreneur , who starts any economic activity for being self-employed.

5 Entrepreneurship is strategic thinking and risk-taking behavior that results in the creation of new opportunities for individuals and/or organizations. Entrepreneurship is the process of creating something different with value by devoting the necessary time and effort. It is more an attitude than a skill or a profession. It involves risk bearing. In General entrepreneurship is a process of converting an identified idea into action .

Who is an entrepreneur? The term entrepreneur was an individual who to undertake/starts a particular commercial project . Entrepreneur refers to a person who establishes his own business . An entrepreneur is considered to be an originator of a business venture . Are action-oriented, highly motivated individuals who take risks to achieve goals. 6 many definitions

7 Are people who have the ability to see and evaluate business opportunities. “Entrepreneur is someone who always searches for change responds and exploits it as an opportunity.” Basically an entrepreneur is a person who has the initiative, skill for innovation and who looks for high achievements . He/she is an agent of change and works for the good of people .

Cont’d Is a person who establishes a business venture and is a visionary leader - a person who has great dreams . Eg : Today’s technological advancements are the results of visionaries that lived in the past. Like; Thomas Edison: the electric bulb . The wright brothers ( Orville and Wilbur ): The airplane etc. 8

In psychology , an Attitude refers to set of emotions , views , and behaviors towards a particular object, person, things or events . Attitude represents the feeling, thinking of a person . It is a confirmed/verified/ the concept that generates on-going income. GOAL SETTING

WHAT IS GOAL?

Meaning of Goal The end result or achievement in which organizational and individual effort is directed.  When you engage in true goal setting , you define your objectives in realistic, measurable terms. You also need to identify the resources, time and funds you'll need to invest.  Goals are essential starting points in planning because they provide direction for all other managerial activities .

Goal Setting Process Describe long and short-term goals! Relate to what you want to achieve in life! Action plan is outlined including activities, responsibilities and time frame. Performance standards, measurement criteria are defined! Consider environmental and personal obstacles! Identify resources!

Summary for Guidelines for Setting Goals Your goals should be your own. They should be set for things you really want to achieve. Goals should be specific. They should be clear, concrete and written. Goals should be measurable and can be quantified. You able to know when you have reached a goal. Review goals periodically to measure the extent your goals have been achieved.
