2. MEANING Esprit de corps here means team spirit and team work. This principle emphasizes on team work. Unity is Strength is the essence of this principle. Fayol suggested that there should be a team spirit in the organisation and all the employees must consider themselves as member of the organisation. Organisations should strive to promote team spirit and unity. An example of Esprit de corps is football, we can see how important the contribution of each player matters in a match. A team can never win with the effort of one player.

3. IMPORTANCE Team work is essential in corporate for better output and a better bonding among employees. Tasks are accomplished at a faster pace when it is done by a team rather than an individual. Work never suffers or takes a backseat in a team. There is always a healthy competition among the team members. Team work is also important to improve the relations among the employees. Team members can also gain from each other.
