My Family And My Life
When I was 8, my family and I lived in small house in the city town. Our life was a little bit hard,
everyone in the family is always busy, my mom went to work most of the time and my dad, too.
My sister and me we both have school during the day and tutoring class after school. Sometimes, I
only see my mom twice a week even though she is home everyday at midnight because of her
busy work. My dad is in charged of taking me to school and picking me up after tutoring class, but
he also have his job, he have to get everything in schedule in order to get everything in fit. On
weekend, I am alone by myself at home or sometimes I go to my friend house and stayed there
throughout the week. That was how our life was until my family got into a situation that I was
thinking it is going to be bad, but it came out that I have learned a wonderful life lesson.
One day I came home from school and put my backpack on the hanger, slowly walk into the
kitchen where my mom is making food for our family dinner. I sat down and say "Hi mom, I'm
home" with an excited but also tired voice. Then suddenly, she turns back and walk to me, sit
down on the chair and asked "So, how was school school today, my dear? Did you have fun? What
have you learned today?" with an lovely voice. "School was fine today, I learned a lot from all of
my classes, but the most important thing that I have learned today was in my math class, my teacher
taught me how to write an equation using a formula that can help me in

Essay about Family Today
Family Today What is a family today? What challenges does being a member of a family present
while traditional family structures change? Every family has to struggle to balance the demands of
work and children. Also the relationship between each spouse can become more delicate and
complicated. Besides, the single parent has to face even more challenges than any other.
Today, in a vast majority of families, both the wife and husband have a job. Many working parents
are under stress as they have to try to balance the demands of their work, children and...show more

The traditional family unit changed rapidly during the second half of the 20th century due to the
effects of two world wars, rapid industrialization, the development of technology, and the effects of
the women's liberation movement. As a result the family became small (less children) and the
majority of women now can obtain equal opportunities in both education and work.
The role of a family is to struggle to survive, to protect and support children until children become
mature and independent adults capable of providing for themselves, and to provide a good standard
of living. Moreover, if men and women can not co–operate well to deal withГ ЇВјЕ’the
decision–making is difficult or does not satisfy both, and then wife and husband may easily have
arguments and disagreements. For some of them, these may become a serious communication
problem.
Since both men and women have to look after the family, sometimes they will have to put their
personal, emotional and physical needs aside. As already mentioned, when men and women feel
stressed, then arguments and complaints may hurt the relationship. As a result, the relationship
between wife and husband becomes more delicate and complicated than in the former traditional
family where the wife remained at home to undertake all the tasks of raising children, cooking and
cleaning.
The vast majority of single–parent families are

Reflection on Family
Family Reflection
"No one is ever born into Life alone. Everyone has shared the bond of family, at least at birth, and
for many people it is a bond that will follow them throughout life. For many people it is the most
important bond of all."
Family means many things to different people, yet the word itself can bring about a host of
emotions from anyone who hears the word uttered. As a child growing up in the 60s and 70s the
family dynamic was defined by the people we grew up with were related to by blood, and extended
to the many family members of the different generations that made up the family unit.
I have fond memories of growing up with love and compassion, by the people who I was
surrounded with. The feeling of...show more content...
The people may be different, but, the bonds will grow and develop in our existence.
I remember the feeling of completeness and security I had growing up with my mom, dad,
grandparents, and extended family members. I always felt like I belonged and was accepted for
me. People are not perfect, sometimes in actions and words, but, knowing the unconditional love
that we are surrounded with by our families keeps us grounded in our true selves. Now that I am
older, I feel the same security that I experienced while growing up. A familiarity of comfort that
brings me to a place of peace and security. My own comfort zone where I am loved, happy, cared for
and needed.
A family can be defined in many ways, but the common denominator in all is the love and
fulfillment one gets by being surrounded by family members. Families can sometimes be at odds
with each other, but the strain of this type of relationship usually creates an upsetting feeling to the
people involved. People want others to rely on, talk to, do things with, share, love, embrace, and
be part of. No matter what the family dynamic is the qualities the word family has will remain the
same, as time goes by, and life evolves once again for every person living their

Essay on Family Stress
For most people, they grow up surrounded by family whether it is parents, siblings, aunts, uncles,
and/or grandparents. Some people may see them as life–long relationships that have its ups and
downs. With any relationship come issues that can may not necessarily be ignored. One issue is
how family life can create considerable stress on someone. "Stress is a feeling that is created when
we react to particular events. It is the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a
tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness" (Dowshen). Therefore, any
event that may deal with family can be considered added stress on someone.
While growing up, family is there to help guide you in the right...show more content...
One study performed by the Nemours Foundations found that "kids said that they were stressed
out the most by: grades, school and homework (36%); family (32%); and friends, peers, gossip,
and teasing (21%)" (Lyness). This poll shows that the in their daily life family has put a
considerable amount of stress on them. Conflicts due arise and usually can not be ignored without
it blowing up later on. Family is filled with people who have differing personalities and because of
this, people live with the stress of having to make all parties happy in order to keep the peace.
Family is an instant life–long relationship and with this relationship people have to deal with happy
moments as well as the sad ones. When the sad ones come along, the family most of the time turn to
each other when there is no one else. You become his/her shoulder to lean on. He/ She may come to
you because they just broke up with a significant other or just something small like having a bad hair
day. Regardless of what it may be, you end up having to play many roles in you family's life. All this
role playing can cause stress because added on to whatever you are dealing with are all the issues of
those in your family.
Family is there whether you ask for it or not. With family, individual relationships are formed with
all of them. You are almost forced to deal with all their expectations and issues. These relationships
undoubtedly cause

whether they are appropriate or inappropriate for the setting. They must be able to recognize when
inappropriate topics are being discussed and be able to divert the conversation and/or refer them to
the appropriate professional that is trained to handle the situation. The example used in the book is
sexual or physical abuse. These types of situations may need to be referred to a counselor or to law

The Story Of My Family
The story of my family is one that I do not tell often. Although my entire family may not be in
agreement at all ties, I know that there is a purpose for every single person in my family; there is
a reason that I have the ties I do. Each person and each event builds on the continuous story of my
life. Each new day is another chance to embark upon a journey that has the potential to change my
life forever. Every time I see my parents, I tell them that I love them. Life itself is so fragile, and
we never know what is in store for the future. When I think of my family narrative, I think of
courage, resilience, love, compassion, joy, difficulty, and many more emotions and reactions. This
is the story of my family as it relates to Marriage and Families today.
My parents were married on January 15, 1994. They have been married for 22 years now, and the
beginning of my family was signified on that day. My parents were married for 2 years before
having their first child. Twenty years later, I am still their only child. My mother's pregnancy with
me was filled with stress and unexpected turns. I was born prematurely at two pounds and twelve
ounces; an entire two months prematurely. My mom had to stay with me in the hospital for months
because I developed jaundice and other conditions that deteriorated my health. The problems did
not end there, however. I would love to believe that racism and colorism are not issues anymore, but
sadly they are even today. The sight of my pale skin led

Autobiography Of My Family
I was born and raised into a hardworking family that are the complete opposite of culture
alienators. My siblings and I are all first generation in America on my mom's side and second
generation on my dad's side. Life was very hard for my parents to raise all seven of us and
depended on my grandparents for most of their help. Being that my grandparents brought all nine
of their kids to America from Belize it was also very hard for them so survive and find stability.
Most families that come to America from a third world country usually find it very difficult to
keep up family traditions and sometimes lose all contact. My family found a way to stay very
close and keep the Belizean culture very alive still to this day. As you can tell by now...show more

This left my mom with seven kids to raise by herself. Meaning one on one time was rare, because
my mom is not a superhero and could not be in multiple places at one time. Grief left my family
and I in a place where we did not know what to do, but we eventually got out of it, and continued
on with our life. We always remembered the hard working parents we had, and the hard working
mother we still had. I am resilient and got back on my feet and continued to attend school,
graduated elementary school, and will soon graduate from high school. Although, I have gone
through many difficulties it has made me work harder as an individual and choose my career
choice at an early age. Being that I was very into the heart at a young age, and my father passing
from a heart disease, I always knew I wanted to study cardiology, and will someday soon become a
cardiologist. Being that my mother has attended medical school several times, I first handedly
have seen how difficult it can be. I have been told by many people to pick a different profession
because of that; But because of how passionate I am about cardiology and the amount of times I
have experienced people deal with heart problems has assured me that I have chose the right
profession. I being a very conscientious person has has also assured me that I will be able to tackle
medical school and become a cardiologist. I believe that the first steps of becoming a cardiologist is
that I have personally experienced people suffer from

My Day With My Family
I believe that I feel the most comfortable when I am home with my family. Any activity we do
together is amazing. Whether it's watching a movie together, having dinner, or having something
to talk about. There is always a time of the day where we just have a good laugh about something
that happened throughout the day. I know my family will always be there for me and I will do
the same for them. I believe that I am blessed to have such a loving, caring, and compassionate
family. I believe when times are tough, my family is my true comfort. Even if it's the smallest
thing like a headache or stomachache I feel better with just my mom doing anything for me to
feel better. I don't need medicine to heal the smallest pains; all I need is my family's love. I've
never looked at another family and thought, "wow they have an amazing relationship, i am
jealous". Sometimes I do the opposite because I never had thought wrong about my family even
when we're aggravated sometimes. I remember during the summer we would have a cookout
every single Saturday and Sunday. We would all get together and have my dads "special asadas".
Which are a special steak well done with allot of lime and spices. We would sit there for hours eating
and having a beer. We would call close friends that we even call family. I believe there is no perfect
life or perfect family. I believe my family will overcome anything that causes pain or misery. I
believe that we are in full control of our own wellness, both

FAMILY LIFE IN BRITAIN
FAMILY LIFE IN BRITAIN
I.CHANGING VALUES AND NORMS OF THE BRITISH FAMILY
The family in Britain is changing .The one typical British family headed by two parents has
undergone substantial changes during the twentieth century .In particular there has been a rise in the
number of single–person households, which increased from 18 to 19 per cent of all households
between 1971 and 2002.By the year 2020 ,it is estimated that there will be more single people than
married people.Fifty years ago this would have been socially unaceptable in Britain. In the past
,people got married and stayed married .Divorce was very difficult , expensive and took a long

But accommodation can be expensive and so there is a serious problem of homelessness.
I think, that it is not good to leave your home very often, because man must assimilate to new
environment and new people. It means less money for family. In Britain, middle and working–class
mothers do not usually go back to work number until the child is five or six and starts going to
school. But a growing number of children under five are in play groups, nursery schools or
kindergartens.
The sons of upper–middle and upper–class families often are sent, from about age of seven,to private
boarding schools, from which the boys return only for school holiday. In Slovakia if the woman
expects a baby she can stay with him/her/ at home three years afterwards.I think it is very important
to bring up a baby from his first steps.Sometimes it is not possible to stay at home.Woman must
return to work earlier, because she could lose her job. Then the children are sent to nursery
schools. Some of nursery schools were cancelled and so it is a problem what to do with
children.Parents in Britain and the USA require less obedience from their children.Their small
children may sometimes appear naughty, but they are more independent than Slovak children of that
age. Modern children have

My Family And My Life
My family and I moved to the United States in the year 2002 which will be a year that will live
within me for the rest of my life. At the time, I was only six years old and I had no idea what this
new country had in store for me. We lived a comfortable, luxurious lifestyle in Syria, but my
parents gave all of that up in order for not only me but my siblings to have a better future in the
United States. My parents wanted to pursue the "American Dream," and they wanted to give me the
chance to pursue my dreams as well. They worked multiple low–wage jobs at first until they found
the correct job within their field in order to provide our family with the necessities of life, and I
could tell that the laborious factory work was taking a toll on my mom. I remember seeing how
exhausted and beat up they were every night after work, and even at a young age, I knew that I
was going to change that. I told myself that I was going to be successful so I could give my
parents all the money they could ever need and they would not have to work another day in their
life. This was very ambitious of me, but it is honestly the least I could do since they have
sacrificed so much for me. I just want to make my parents proud and let them know that all of
their sacrifices were worth it. Moving countries has been a life changing experience that has really
strengthen me as an individual both academically and physically. Moving from Syria to Texas was
very difficult as I had to adapt to the new

My Family Essay
No one can't meet a family like mine's. My family is well diversified. Every family member plays
an important role in all my family's lives. In my family, there are four people: my father, my
mother, my little brother and me. My father is one who brings money home and is also responsible
for organizing and planning family trips. My mother is the one who is in charge for making meals
and makes sure everyone eats at the appropriate times. My little brother is the pet of the family. He
actually doesn't have any responsibilities, for he's the pet. I am the rock of support in my family. I

Doing what my parents tell me to do is just one of many reasons why I am a rock of support for
my family. Not only do I support my parents, but I also support my younger cousins and brother.
As an eldest brother and cousin, I feel I must be a good example for the young ones. There are
numerous methods of showing my cousins and brother support. One main way is by providing
advice on making the right choices. For example my brother had a problem at school with one of
his classmates. As a mature and responsible older brother, I advised him to use the non–violent
approach. I told him to go discuss the problem and try to resolve it peacefully. My brother then
asked me why he shouldn't fight his classmate. I explained how violence is the answer to
anything. I advised him to first talk to his classmate in a professional manner. If then things get
out of hand, I told him to let the teacher know the situation. In the end, my brother didn't need to
get the teacher involved. In fact, their conflict was resolved by talking through with each other. I
also am very supportive of my little cousins. One way I help them out is by tutoring them once in
a while. They come over to my house and I assist them with their school work. Not only I help my
cousins with their homework, but I also support them recreationally. I play various sports and
activities with them. As their older cousin/brother, I feel I should be a good role model to follow. I
am also known for being there

helps us in shaping our life. It teaches us the value of love, affection, care, truthfulness and
self–confidence and provides us tools and suggestions which are necessary to get success in life.
Family is a place where you can be yourself. It is a place where you are accepted for what you are.
This is where you are completely tension free and everyone is there to help you. Family encourages
you when you are surrounded by problems. It helps you survive through tough times and bring joy

Psychologists believe that a child learns the most from his or her family life. The way your
family members deal with you has a life long effect on your personality. Keeping in view all these
facts the importance of your family life cannot be denied. Family unit happens to be the most
important part of your life till you grow up. The children are usually closer to their parents and
their siblings as compared to any other person in the world. As the children grow up they find good
friends, spouses, their own kids and colleagues to share their lives with. Although time brings this
change but the importance of family remains there. The children who have a sound family
background and who belong to a family with strong family ties are almost always happier. Thus one
cannot deny the importance of family life.
The life with your family is very important it plays a major role in your development into the
person you become. The goals you set for yourself in your life are very much dependent on the
life you have with your family. Those children who belong to the families which have a rich
education background tend to learn more. They are interested in learning more and thus it is easy
for their parents to get them educated. Similarly, for example, children who belong to a family
from which a few of the people are in the field of professional sports, the kids tend to have an
interest in sports and they also

Essay on My Family History
My Family History
Family history is very important to an individual. By knowing where you come from, you can have
a better perspective of your life. Having a clear understanding of your family background allows you
to better appreciate the things that you would normally take for granted. The house, the car, and the
average clothing may look better when one sees the sacrifices their family has made. They will see
that their family has worked very hard just so their family can experience the better things in life. A
persons roots and origin is one of the most important things to explore. It alone can bring you closer
to self–discovery.

One of these is that on Thanksgiving everybody comes together to my parents' house in New Jersey
for a huge feast. On Christmas only my mother and the children (me and my brother) travel to Illinois
to spend a week with my grandparents. On New Years Eve we all get together at my parents'
house in New Jersey and toast to the New Year with champagne and apple cider. During Labor
Day weekend all of my family travels to South Jersey to my grandfathers' condo. We usually
spend all of our time on the beach and barbequing, except on Sunday when we go to church. After
all, my grandfather is a minister. One of our biggest family traditions is going back to Puerto
Rico. Every year my mother and I travel back to Puerto Rico for a portion of our summer
vacation. Now that I am older I travel there more often and stay there much longer. My father never
joins because he doesn't like my mothers side of the father too much and he thinks that we when we
speak Spanish we are all plotting against him. Of course that's not true though. My bother doesn't
speak Spanish so he doesn't like to go either. I guess that tradition is one that belongs solely to my
mother and I.
The role of the people in family basically stayed the same for most of the generations with a little
change in the later generations. Earlier the males were the only ones that worked in the family and
the wife stayed at home and took care of the house and
