straightforward task, but it entails more complexity than one might anticipate. The challenge lies
in capturing the essence of the role of a teacher and the significance of their impact on students'
lives, while also incorporating personal reflections and insights.
To begin with, it requires a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted responsibilities a
teacher holds. Delving into the various aspects of teaching, such as imparting knowledge,
fostering critical thinking, and shaping character, demands a nuanced approach. Balancing the
technical aspects of pedagogy with the emotional connections formed in the classroom poses a
unique challenge. Crafting a well-rounded essay involves weaving together these diverse
elements to provide a holistic portrayal of the teacher-student dynamic.
Furthermore, the essay should not merely enumerate the qualities of an ideal teacher but should
also delve into the challenges and rewards associated with the profession. Discussing the

Types Of Any Wireless Communication System
A microstrip antenna consists of conducting patch and a ground plane separated by
dielectric substrate. The early work of Munson on microstrip antennas for use as a
low profile flush mounted antennas on rockets and missiles showed that this was a
practical concept for use in many antenna system problems. Different mathematical
models were developed for this antennaand its applications were extended to many
other fields. The number of articles published in the journal papers for the last ten
years. The microstrip antennas are the first antenna designer s choice. Low dielectric
constant substrates are generally preferred for maximum radiation. The conducting
patch can have many shape but rectangular and circular configurations are the most
commonly used configuration. A microstrip antennais characterized by its length
parameter, width parameter, input impedance, and gain and radiation patterns.
Various performance parameters, mathematical calculation and Microstrip feeding
technique will be discussed further through this chapter. Antennas are key
components of any wireless communication system and it is a device that provides
a way for radiation or receiving electromagnetic waves. IEEE standard definitions
for antenna (IEEE Std 145 1983) defines antenna as a means for radiating or
receiving radio wave. Figure 3.1 shows an antenna as transition device. The arrows

Type O Blood
Each person has a certain blood type. That blood type was established before the
babies were even born. Furthermore, there is no alternate substance that was
invented that will be able to replace blood or blood components with. It s for that
reason that blood needs to be utilized in an efficient manner that lives are being
saved quicker and easier (bb).
With just one pint of blood it can save several lives. That s a large number of people
that could be saved since every two seconds there will be a person out in the world
that s in need of blood. However, which blood type employed to save those lives

The blood type would be located under where the name is on the card. In Michigan,
a driver s license cost twenty five dollars, except in order to test the blood type

In order to, present accurate results back and not create a mistake by putting the
wrong blood type on the driver license and accidently result in killing someone. In
addition, to being certain that the precise blood type is on the license, the blood test

requirement to present documentation of a valid Social Security letter or number of

Socioeconomic Status And Class Based Societies
The Consequences of Socioeconomic Status and Class Based Societies Dainer
Best The Consequences of Socioeconomic Status and Class Based Societies Many
questions have risen in this day and age in which ones wealth can greatly effect
almost every aspect of their lives. There has been much controversy as to whether
the recognition of socioeconomic classes are for the benefit of society as a whole.
Socioeconomic class is defined as some combination of occupation, education, and
income level (Heimer 802). A good society consists of equality, support for the
government, educated individuals, better living conditions, and low crime rates. As
research will show, socioeconomic classes contribute to social inequality, lower
support for the government, subpar education levels, income insecurity for some
classes, lower living conditions, trouble transitioning into adulthood, and higher
crime rates. Therefore, socioeconomic classes are a detriment to society and do
more harm than good for the people. Social Inequality A society is benefitted by
equality because when people are equal, nobody has unfair advantages. Equality
provides people from all backgrounds the opportunity to follow their dreams without
limits and add in a larger way to society as a whole. Meanwhile, as inequality rises,
so does the prevalence of poor educational attainment, high crime rates and mental
health problems (Andersen 283). Socioeconomic classes often create inequality and
therefore have a negative

The Significance Of The Suicide Tree In A Separate Peace...
Trees around a lake is not an uncommon sight. However, in A Separate Peace, there is
a particular tree that encompasses more meaning than just vegetation around a body
of water. Aptly named the Suicide Tree, Devon schoolboys proved their manliness by
jumping into the lake. During the Summer Session, it evolves into something more
than a proving ground. The symbol of the Suicide Treein A Separate Peace by John
Knowles means the end of childhood, as evident by textual evidence, and alluded to
through literary clues.
The Suicide Tree means the end of childhood and the transition to adulthood by the
characters. Culturally this symbol represents the draft of soldiers into World War II.

At the beginning of the book, the narrator is older. This is represented through
winter, and the Suicide Tree being described as being old and weary (Knowles 3).
The flashbacks the narrator is experiencing take place in summer, symbolizing youth,
and the Suicide Tree is described as a green giant. At every meeting the limb seemed
higher, thinner, the deeper water harder to reach (Knowles 13). The hyperboles of
this statement show how daunting Gene found it to continue jumping from the
Suicide Tree. Or how daunting the realization of the responsibility he carries when
taking such a risk. A trait of an adult when making decisions, a child would not weigh

Teeth Reshaping Research Paper
How Enamel Reshaping Can Improve Your Smile
If your teeth have a slightly irregular appearance you find embarrassing, or if you
have a tooth with a jagged edge that causes discomfort to your tongue, your dentist
may be able to correct the problem by reshaping the enamel. If the imperfections are
small enough, you may not have to pay for more expensive cosmetic dental
treatments such as veneers or crowns. Here s how enamel reshaping may be able to
help.
Grinds Away Uneven Edges
The dentist uses a grinding tool that is similar to the polishing tool the hygienist uses
to clean your teeth. The tool takes off a very tiny layer of enamel at a time. This
allows your dentist to smooth away rough edges, shorten a long tooth, and give
your teeth a more uniform appearance. You can have the procedure done on a single
tooth or as many as need it to improve the appearance of your smile. Enamel
reshaping is often the ideal solution for removing sharp points on your canine teeth.
It s also helpful if the enamel is thicker in some places than others and your teeth
have a bumpy appearance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eliminating the anesthetic injection reduces the cost as well. There is no drilling, so
the procedure is easy to endure. You ll get immediate results too. The procedure is
quick and inexpensive when compared to other types of cosmetic dentistry. You ll
probably only need a single visit to the dentist instead of multiple visits typically
needed for cosmetic repairs.

Potential Energy and Wind Power
Walking outside, wind blows towards your face, can you imagine the wind can
transfer to electricity? Majority people in China have the idea of the coal burning
as a way to produce electricity. However, coal is a limited resource nowadays.
Scientists had found out several alternative ways to produce energy, for example
wind power. Wind power can bring us many benefits because wind is an infinite
resource; wind power is environmentally friendly while wind farmis also a low tax
project. Wind power, a new way to create energy, has become more and more popular.
Scientists, nowadays, are concerned about the limitation of fossil fuels worldwide.
It means some country whose electricity is most produced by fossil fuels may have
the energy crisis in the future. However, other countries, use wind as an energy
resource, not have to worry about the situation because wind power is infinite.
What actually happens is sun s heat causes the air to warm up in patches. In a
result, some patches of air become warm while other patches remain cold. Hot air
gets lighter in weight hence leaves it place and move towards upside, colder air
patches are bit heavier there for their rushes to fill up the space that is left
unoccupied by heated air, and this process generates wind. Because the sun will not
be destroyed in a short time, we will have to wind for such a long time. Thus, wind
power has infinite source supply (Solarpowernotes). The infinity of wind makes wind
power a endless energy

Negative Effects Of Smoking And Smoking
Alcohol and tobacco have been around for thousands of years. Around 2,000 years
ago tobacco began to be chewed and smoked during cultural or religious
ceremonies and events. Cigarette making machines were not developed until the
latter half of the 1800s. The first alcoholic beverage to gain popularity was Mead, a
fermented drink made from honey and water. Mead was created in Greece. The
Greek warned that it is okay to drink as long as it is not an excessive amount.
Although smokingand drinking have become popular habits for people over the years
they can have a negative impact on the human body.
More than 20 million Americans are living with a disease caused by smoking.
Cigarettes can cause cancer, heart disease, strokes, lung diseases, diabetes, and COPD
(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Smoking increases the risk of problems
with the immune system, including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Tuberculosis. Most
people think that cigarettes only damage your lungs but they affect entire
cardiovascular system.
Smoking has a huge impact on your energy levels. Smokers have a lower lung
capacity than non smokers which means that they get less oxygen in their lungs and
that causes them to get less oxygen to the brain, muscles, and other bodily systems.
Hair is also affected by the nicotine that is found in cigarettes. A study found that it
increases hair loss and graying.

New Grub Street
New Grub Street
New Grub Street is known as
George Robert Gissing s best and most respected novel. This masterpiece gives its
readers a taste of the anti idealistic principle that is shown all throughout Grub
Street. This society that Gissing has mirrored from his own life experience is one that
revolves around selfishness and money.
The reader is supposed to understand that the art of literature cannot exist without
good economic means.
The term Grub Street continues to be used in reference to authors and journalists who
are compelled to struggle desperately to make a bare livelihood, and also to those
who have no scruples about what they write so long as it brings them profit or
popularity (Ward 32).
The novel s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
New Grub Street was published in the same year that Gissing married Edith
Underwood. This was his second unhappy marriage to an alcoholic shrew. Edith
was unhappy because she believed her husband to be a failure. The character of
Amy Reardon in New Grub Street also thought her husband to be a failure due to his
poverty and small literary success. Therefore, Gissing s personal life had a huge
impact on his writing.
Several reviews were found on this novel that were not optimistic. Jacob Korg did
one such review. The reader is aware of the author at his shoulder, pointing to one
detail after another as illustrations of an implicit lesson (Dimauro 131). Korg is
saying that Gissing intrudes being an all knowing omniscient narrator. The author s
overwhelming presence is found in the tone, vocabulary, and passages of comment.
Gissing s personal opinions are forced upon the reader in his characters thoughts and
actions. The intrusions could be irritating to the reader who would like to skip over
the seemingly pointless descriptions and historical backgrounds. P.J. Keating did
another review that was not favorable.
He was a morbidly autobiographical novelist and this has, perhaps, prevented his
best work from receiving the critical attention it deserves. Sometimes, as in the
portrait of Reardon, Gissing becomes too personally involved and this is a flaw
which needs to be recognized (Michaux

Australia Pty Ltd has undoubtedly developed and expanded over the century since
its humble beginning. Starting out its early days as an average retail store selling

The Sustainability Of A Building
Politics is related to almost everything, and therefore, the economy also relates to
almost everything. Many things are done and decided based on the benefits received.
Either through the great profit they can make by using the limited resources we have
or by using the resources we have excessively and wastefully, without thinking of the
consequences it will have on us and for later generations. It is hard to find a balance
between sustainabilityand our economy. Economic growth however, also depends on
a sustaining and functional environment. LEED is an organization that does not
successfully evaluate the sustainability of a building. Instead some other
organizations does better at evaluating in detail and continuously of how it is
sustainable and how it has continued to be more eco friendly.
Politics is connected to natural resources, the issue of global warming, and
sustainability. In order for the economy to grow, it feeds on natural resources that
produces waste and pollutes the earth and the air. This threatens the environment and
the eco system in which our lives depend. The use of natural resources exceeds the
amount the earth can undertake and recover. And the foundation of all our economic
growth is built upon the counterbalance of the resources spent and recovered.
Therefore, it can be taken away anytime; when our planet can t supply and take the
amount we are asking from anymore, we would have lost everything, the economy,
environment and our lives.

Why Do I Choose Texas Tech Essay
What is your reason for choosing Texas Tech?
Senior year is such a busy, long, and stressful school. On top of all that is deciding
which college you would want to attend and the process to get into whatever school
you choose. Personally, ever since I was young, I was kind of obligated to attend
Texas Tech by my relatives. Being that I was born in the small town of Brownfield,
Texas and most of my family is from there, they made frequent trips to Lubbock
being that it was only forty five minutes away. Thus, they fell in love with the
school, their sports teams, and the environment. I on the other hand, hadn t
experienced all this due to the fact that I grew up in Amarillo, Texas. But every
time my family would visit my relatives in Brownfield, I would always expect the

When I did start deciding what college I wanted to attend, my family didn t really
want me to attend a college out of state because they wanted me to be close if I ever
needed anything and wanted me to safe. So that narrowed it down quite a bit. Being
from Amarillo, we had a community college of Amarillo College and West ... Show

Heart Of Darkness By Joseph Conrad And The Portrayal Of
Women
Lucia Zhu
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad and the Portrayal of Women
Joseph Conrad s novella Heart of Darkness is an adventure tale about the narrator s
journey through the mysterious Congo River. Marlow, the narrator, becomes a sea
captain as he travels the world in a steamboat. His journey starts from the Thames
River in England to deep in the Congo River of Africa. Marlow s mission is to locate
and retrieve Europe s best agent Mr. Kurtz. As the search for Kurtz proves to be
both horrifying and revealing, it brings Marlow face to face with the heart of darkness
. As Marlow unfolds Africa s mystery, he sees more and more of Africa being
wrongfully exploited. Within the complex framework of Marlow s physical and
mental journey, Joseph Conrad takes a complex stance on the nature of women so
that they are seen as weak and separated from the men of the novella. In his tale,
Conrad is oblivious to gender discrimination. Marlow, the protagonist of Heart of
Darkness, unconsciously surrenders to the inequality of his era regarding the
decency of women. Throughout the novella, the female characters in the text reveals
Conrad s separation of women to their own bubble of a world, only to sometimes
reveal the power they hold.
Conrad s sexism is first recognized through diction of the portrayal of Marlow s
aunt. As Marlow looks for a job, his male family members are hesitant to help
because they are aware of the dangers in Africa. Marlow s aunt, on the other hand, is

Similarities Between the Scottsboro Boys and Tom
Robinson...
There are many similarities between the Scottsboro trial and the trial of Tom
Robinson in the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. No crime in American history let
alone a crime that never occurred produced as many trials, convictions, reversals,
and retrials as did an alleged gang rape of two white girls by nine black teenagers on
a Southern railroad freight run on March 25, 1931 (Linder 1). The author of To Kill
a Mockingbird, Harper Lee, was a young girl during the Scottsboro trial and based
the trial of Tom Robinson in her novel off of the Scottsboro trial of 1931. The three
main similarities between the Scottsboro trial and the trial of Tom Robinson are the

Both trials were based off of false accusations against black men. In To Kill a

The witnesses for the state have presented themselves to you gentlemen, to this court,

that all Negros lie, that all Negros are basically immoral beings, that all Negro men

people took the side of the white women. Both of the juries and judges for these trials

justice. The last and most important similarity between the Tom Robinson trial and
the Scottsboro trial is the similarities within the court.

Effects Of Social Media On Young People
How does Social Media affect Young People? Words like Instagram , Twitter , and
Snapchat are some of the most used words in today s generation. People are finding
it harder and harder to hold a conversation without these terms slipping into their
vocabulary, this is because Social Media has become a huge part of everyone life s.
Social media has taken this world by storm, but has seemed to target the minds and
emotions of young people in the best and worst ways. The human brainwas never
designed to stare at a lit phone screen for 2 3 hours a day scrolling and scrolling
until a person s thumb cramps up; social media has caused just that. Adults preach
until the sun goes down of how bad social media is for young people, and they
might just be right. A study was done by Stuart Wolpert where students age 13 18
were placed in front of a screen and shown their social media posts with hundreds
of likes. Wolpert states, When the teens saw their own photos with a large number
of likes, we saw activity across a wide variety of regions in the brain (Wolpert). This
is done multiple times a day within today s young people, Wolpert goes on to explain
that the brain can t handle this amount of excitement in a span of a few hours, this
causes headaches, burning of the eyes and much more. While the physical brain has a
hard time handling the activity, the emotional affects caused by constant web surfing
are just as harmful. In 2011, doctors with the American Academy of Pediatrics

erupts. Life as you know it as has just been dismantled and changed forever. Would
you respond immediately to the crisis or would you complete the mission and finish
the job that you came to do? Colin Powell, throughout his life, has been on a mission
and he has consistently finished each job with appropriate actions that have led
others to follow. I believe and claim that Colin Powellis a visionary and an ethical
leader because of his actions, decisions, and behaviors through out his career. This
essay will explain why he s a visionary leader using an example from his time early in
his military career as well as when he was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, concepts
from Full Range Leadership(FRL),... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, this essay will discuss how both forms of leadership have personal relevance
for me. Now that there is a foundation of what will be discussed, I will lay out why I
claim that Colin Powell is a visionary leader.
Visionary Leader
Colin Powell is a visionary leader because he displayed intellectual courage and
created an inclusive environment, which are attributes of a visionary leader.
According to the Barnes Center for Enlisted Education (BCEE) lesson on FRL
(2016c), idealized influence is the component of transformational behavior that
portrays the leader as a role model . Idealized influence encompasses honesty as
well as taking ownership of the outcomes of ones actions and decisions. Colin
Powell s leadership foundation was built on honesty and he has always taken
ownership of his actions. According to Colin Powell s Autobiography, My
American Journey (1995) early in Powell s military career, he was true to his
principles and put his career on the line when he had the courage to press a couple of
thorny issues with his

How Does Peter Shaffer Use Themes as Devices in Equus
to...
It is difficult to suggest what the comfortable view of normal is as there are many
different perceptions, which should be considered. In the beginning of Equus one
considers the character of Martin Dysart to be normal as he rarely strays outside of
societies boundaries. However, as we move through the play one discovers there is
much more to Martin Dysart than once thought. In reality the themes dealt with in
Equuschallenges our own sense of what is normal. They are as equally as shocking
to Dysart, yet made justifiable by Alan Strang s worship for Equus, the god of
horses. This is why Peter Shafferuses Equus as a sort of device to standardize and
make the strange acceptable. He does this by introducing a sense of innocence into...

Although abstract normality adopts god like features and begins to dominate our
lives. It is The average made lethal. Sadly, it is unescapable and whether we accept
it or not it will stay with us forever. Through the help of Strang, Dysart
acknowledges this and realises his job consists of removing the good smile in a
child eyes . He feels as though by limiting one to the constraints of normality part of
their humanity is lost. This is shown through his dream on page 24. This dream is
the first time that the audience can see Martin Dysart s transition from the
comfortable view of what is normal to a more unique view on life.
Peter Shaffer uses Equus as a device to standardize and make the abnormal
acceptable. In reality many of the themes and actions dealt with challenge our sense
of normality so by introducing an element of innocence into Strang s character, we as
an audience, are suddenly forced to connect and sympathise for him. The innocence
is ultimately illustrated by Strang s worship and love for Equus. Without the element
of innocence it would be difficult to forgive his defiance of the comfortable view of
what is normal. Yet without the defiance we would be unable to forgive him for
fitting the societies view of what is normal. Essentially this innocence is the element,
which balances the personality of Alan Strang beautifully. Interestingly these are the
very elements that Dysart is lacking. That s what his stare has been

The Use Of Social Media
The rapid use of social media can explain the growing trend of revenge porn
occurrences (Wilson, 2014), as the advances in technology have transformed the
way that sexual violence can be perpetrated (Mcglynn and Rackley, 2017). Due to
the development in mobile phone technology that has become increasingly more
intelligent and complex, cameras are included as a standard feature on most smart
phone models, which allows people to share images and videos with ease in a
matter of seconds. The technological advancements allow a person to take an
incident image, distribute it and coerce a victim all via the use of one tool which
makes it extremely accessible and convenient (McCartan and McAlister, 2012). In
depth studies have focused on peoples... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite research revealing that revenge porn is a very personal crime that often
leaves its victims feeling emotionally vulnerable (Franks, Citron 2014), a recent
study by Pina, Holland and James (2017) found that ninety nine percent of
participants expressed at least some approval of it, showing little remorse towards
the concept and surprisingly eighty seven percent expressed some excitement
indicating that it may be socially encouraged. It is important to establish why
people show some approval towards this crime and are even excited by it as it may
suggest that it is becoming socially acceptable and perhaps an encouraged norm.
There is also evidence to suggest that victims receive more judgment and blame if
they took an explicit image or video themselves as oppose to without their consent
or knowledge (Najdowski, Hildegrand, 2014). Further evidence of this view comes
from research by Henry, Flynn and Powell (2017) who found that sixty two percent
of people would hold a victim partly responsible if they sent someone an indecent
image of themselves and it ends up online. Bothamley and Tully (2017) studied
factors that influenced victim blaming and found that the relationship between the
perpetrator and the victim did not influence perceptions of victim blame and nor did
the reason for the relationship breakdown, thus the research by Najdowski and
Hildegrand (2014) needs to be further explored to clarify exactly in what context do

Essay on Isak Denisen
Isak Denisen Dinesen faced despair, disillusionment and debilitating physical illness
in her life and her writing shows the importance of facing one s destiny with courage
...
Out of Africa
Isak Dinesen was a superb author. Her topics were so popular because she wrote
about life and her real experiences. Isak had a tough life, but as the quotation says,
she faced them with courage. She worked hard and was extremely forgiving of the
people she loved. In her autobiography, Out of Africa, Dinesen portrayed herself, the
Baroness Karen Blixen.
Despair came easily to Dinesen. Her life was depressing, but she made the best of it.

He cheated on her and gave her syphilis. They divorced and in the mean time she
was having an affair with her new love Dennis. She was not happy with him either
because he would not commit fully to her. He liked going on trips and being alone.
Dennis would leave Karen alone for long periods of time. She hated the fact that she
could not control the men around her.
Even in work Dinesen had struggles. She initially intended to start a dairy farm, but
her husband planned to plant coffee. She was extremely upset that he would go
behind her back, especially when it involved her money. However, she went along
with the idea. Her husband did not stay around for long. He went off to war and left
the plantation to her. After many years of planting and harvesting, Dinesen finally got
a good crop. That year though, her plantation unfortunately burned. She was left with
nothing. She had to sell her house, land, and possessions to have money to go back
home.
Last, but not least was the death of Dennis. Karen had been searching all her life
for her one true love, one that would be hers and not cheat on or use her. Dennis
was faithful to her and he was trying to commit to her. In an unfortunate and
unexpected plane crash, Dennis was killed. When finally she had found what she
had been looking for in love, it was taken away from her.
Throughout all this Dinesen managed to keep going. She never let her misfortunes
get the best of her. It took courage and strong will to get her

Blue Gold World Water Wars Essay
The documentary, Blue Gold, World Water Wars, was a dramatic depiction of the
prognosis of our ability to sustain life on the earth if we don t take very seriously the
natural resource of water. The movie by Sam Bozzo was released in 2008 and is
based on the book Blue Gold: The Fight to Stop the Corporate Theft of the World s
Water by Maude Barlow and Tony Clarke. The movie opens with a dramatic display
of what happened to Pablo Valencia who in 1906 walked from Mexico to Californiain
search of gold. He survived without water for 7 days and documented the experience.
One of the most compelling statements from his experience was the statement, who
ever goes without water for a week, cries blood. That statement was riveting and
came to mind often during the course of viewing the movie. The filmmaker
succeeded in galvanizing my attention with that opening frame. Bozzo highlights how
extensively our ecosystem is being impacted by our seemingly lackluster regard for
the water we have been given on earth. It seems as though some think water is an
infinite resource. Contrarily the movie shows that our abuse of water is deteriorating
water flows and threatening the sustainability of our ecosystem. The planet, human
beings, plants, animals, fish, etc. all need water to survive.
The blue planet, as the earth was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No one knows how much ground water there is. Pumping too much ground water
can deplete the watershed and cause sink holes. I have seen these sinkholes in
Florida and California. The government allows farmers to pump limitless quantities
of water. They are told if they don t pump the water, they will lose their water
rights. When more water is pumped than can be returned to the ground, the ground
dries up. We are becoming a desert in many places. We are draining the land of its
moisture and life. As we dry the land, it turns from green to

It Is I, Donato Bramante
It is I, Donato Bramante. Through mysterious circumstances that I cannot yet

said this land is called Washington . Last thing I knew, it was the year 1514, and I
was a sickly man in Rome. I m feeling much better now. Luckily there is a
magnificent building right down the road from me called the United States Capitol

people of this strange land say this building houses the government of their country.

These columns are known as the Corinthian Order. My plan for St. Peter s called for
these same columns to circle the largest dome of the basilica. The Capitol Building
pulls this same strategy off perfectly! Surely, the architects of the building known
as William Thorton, Benjamin Henry Latrobe, and Charles Bulfinch (SOURCE),
must have drew upon my plan of St. Peter s for inspiration. I am not sure if they
knew this or not, but I also used classical columns on another masterpiece of mine
that is known as the Tempietto at San Pietro in Montorio (SOURCE). Unlike at St.
Peter s, at the Tempietto I used the Doric order of columns (SOURCE). I find both
orders to be great outlets of my artistic abilities, and both pleasing to the eye.
Besides the columns, another feature of the Capitol Building that I have
marvelous is the beautiful, gigantic, dome in the center. I used a dome structure on
both of my famous works that I mentioned before, namely my plan for St. Peters,
and the Tempietto at San Pietro in Montorio (SOURCE). I would say, however,
that the dome on the Capitol is much larger (SOURCE)! Especially compared to
that of my Tempietto. It must have taken master craftsmen many years to complete
such a feat in architecture and engineering (SOURCE). While I do find the dome
to be a great work, I think it may be a little too different from the great domes of my
work. Compared to my dome of St. Peters, the Capitol s dome seems to

Walt Whitman, An Enemy Or A Model For Ezra Pound

Walt Whitman , an enemy or a model for Ezra Pound?
In this essay , I want to demonstrate if Walt Whitman is seen as an enemy or as a
model by Ezra Pound. Even if the poem is ambiguous at first, during its we see that
Walt Whitman is seen as a model, as a spiritual father endowed with artistic creed
which will be taken by his child.
Poem can be divided into 2 parts, the first part corresponds to childhood and refusal
to accept the style of Whitman (line 1 2) and the second part corresponds to
maturity , where Pound accepts his style ( the wood) that he carves to become better,
more understandable by his era. (line 3 9)
Pound saw Walt Whitman gradually , he passed from considered him an enemy, a
bad person ( i have detested you long enough ) , to a stubborn father ( pig headed
father) , a spiritual one who wants what it is good for his child ,a genius, to a
fatherland and also a forebear whose creation Pound will continue. But according to
,,The Cambridge Companion to Walt Whitman :Whitman delineates a composite
figure: a father fashioned as much to resist as to obey, an older brother sharing
secrets, a lover making cryptic signs by which all comrades of manly love might

National Socialism Essay
The rise of National Socialism in post WWI Germany is an understandable reaction
to the problems of the Versailles Peace Treaty, considering the German attitudes and
beliefs at the time. These attitudes and beliefs were the result of generations of
Prussian militarism, extreme racist nationalism, and, most importantly, the failure of
the Treaty of Versailles signed in June of 1919. The rise of the Nazi party, and their
extremist National Socialist doctrine appealed directly to these attitudes and beliefs
that permeated Germany society after the first World War.
Since the unification of Germany in the late 19th century, attitudes of nationalism,
Prussian militarism and expansionism saturated German society. As one can clearly

Unemployment was widespread and a whole generation of young Germans was left
hopeless and without direction. For many Germans during these terrible times,
mere survival was a challenge. This wretched condition is apparent in Heinrich
Hauser s description of Germany s unemployed who lined the highways, homeless
and destitute, with no place to go. As he describes it, unskilled young people, for
the most part... had been unable to find a place for themselves in any city or town in
Germany, and... had never had a job and never expected to have one. Germany had
been forced to her knees.
It was these grave conditions that set up the Nazis rise to power. Feeding on the
emotions of the German populace, especially the disenchanted youth of Germany, the
National Socialist movement swept through the country. Preaching a doctrine of ultra
nationalism and Germanic racial superiority, the supreme leader of the National
Socialist movement, Adolf Hitler, appealed to the age old attitudes and beliefs of the
German people. Continuing the Prussian militaristic tradition, Hitler called for a full
mobilization of German society with the ultimate purpose of territorial expansion.
He wanted to eliminate all opposition within Germany and unite all German peoples
towards the same goal, German world supremacy. He envisioned a fully mobilized
Germany, void of internal conflict and inefficiency, which would create employment
for all Germans, who would work for a greater German society. As

The Importance Of Communication In Business
Communication
In business communication is key. All successful relationships are built through
communication, trust, loyalty and respect are built through good communication. So,
it is no surprise that the Administrative Management Society found that 80% of
managers rated communication as the most important skill of perspective employees.
Another study conducted by a college placement service found that hundreds of
college alumni believe that communication abilities were more important to their job
success than their actual majors. Most people tend to focus on the verbal portion of
communication, often forgetting about the non verbal portion. Research shows when
non verbal cues contradict verbal ones, people tend to believe the non verbal behavior
especially when it comes to feelings and attitude. With advancements in technology
the world has become smaller which has increased the amount of cross cultural
communication, especially in business. Not all cultures have the same
communication styles, so it is imperative to understand cultural differences in order
to have successful international relationships. This memo will specifically focus on
the differences and similarities in communication styles, specifically non verbal,
between the United Statesof America and Colombia.
Individualism vs. Collectivism
Colombia is a collectivist society, which tend to value loyalty and tradition.
Collectivist societies also value the group over the person. And have a harder time

Mark Twain s Use Of Political Satire
Satire is often regarded as one of the most effective ways to understand a society. It
reveals the values of the society and serves as an amplifier for its ills. Mark Twain
once said, the human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.
Satire has long been a tool of political criticism, a means to make a moral point and to
attack vice and folly using wit and ridicule . The word satirecomes from the Latin
word satur and later satura which translates roughly to poetic medley. Through the
use of art, traditionally, prose and poetry, satire has continued to make a difference in
shaping public consumption and perspective of news and encouraging activism,
advocacy and civil participation.

Talent of news illustrators merged after the election of President Andrew Jackson
and his artistic depiction as King Andrew I , the Mexican and Civil Wars.
American political cartoonists truly found their voice during the Civil War, when
they deployed satire to both comment on the unfolding events and the political
decisions behind them and also to provide the popular reading audience with some
much needed levity during such violent times. The May 4, 1861 issue of Vanity
Fair included this cartoon showing Abraham Lincoln and Columbia (the
personification of the United States) tending a garden seeded by Union soldiers,
with the hope of growing a hardy country in red, white, and blue. A more pointed
example comes from the May 2, 1863 issue of Harper s Weekly, which carried
news of the Civil War as it was unfolding. Yankee Doodle (aka Uncle Sam), cautions
a blacksmith against his over confidence by making a presidential sword for
Jefferson Davis: Wal, look out it don t fly up and hit yer in the eye! And finally, a
complex image showing Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis in the Arena of War
bludgeoning each other with large purses, with the caption Final Issue of the War
The Longest Purse Wins, drove home the point that many believed the North s
victory to be the result of economic rather than military might. It appeared in the
March 1, 1864 issue of Frank Leslie s Budget of Fun. Thomas Nast became nationally
known and developed many of the symbols still familiar in American cartooning: the
Democratic donkey, the Republican elephant, the Tammany tiger, and many more.
Before the turn of the 20th century, the daily editorial cartoon was a feature of many
newspapers, and these illustrations only became more and more popular as time

Confirmation Research Paper
There are many things to consider when preparing for Confirmation. Getting
confirmed is not an easy thing to do, and it should definitely not be something that
you do without equipping yourself beforehand. When you are a child, your parents
make the decision of entering you into the church. They also may have forced you to
go to mass every Sunday to receive the gift of the Eucharist. After you have been
Confirmed, it is no longer up to your parents to make those decisions for you. It is
also, vital for you to surround yourself with good role models that want the best for
you. You must have someone, other than your parents, to rely on when times get
tough. You should also have a good patron saint to model your life after.
Additionally, you should be reading scripture, to remind yourself of the word of
God. These may seem like small things to think about before you get Confirmed.

A Brief Biography of Nathaniel Hawthorne
Nathaniel Hawthorne once said, I do not want to be a doctor and live by men s
diseases, nor minister to live by their sins, nor a lawyer and live by men s quarrels.
So, I don t see that there is anything left for me but to be an author (Nathaniel). This
statement describes Hawthorne s personality and life in a way that no other quote
could. Nathaniel Hawthornewas an Anti Transcendentalist writer meaning that he had
a negative view of all humans. The Anti Transcendentalist movement was a
pessimistic branch of Romanticism and it began in mid 1800s and lasted until late
1800s. Nathaniel Hawthorne was influenced greatly by his childhood, which is what
caused him to be an anti transcendentalist, yet in his novel The Scarlet Letterthere was
a bridge created between anti transcendentalism and utopian transcendentalism.
The devastation of losing a parent at a young age can cause long term effects that
last into adulthood. When Hawthorne was four, his father died of yellow fever and
this caused problems for him. His mother became very overly protective and
pushed him toward isolated pursuits (Biography). His childhood left him shy and
bookish, which molded his life as a writer. He also was not a very social person,
had few close friends, and had little engagement with others (Biography). If
Hawthorne s life had not started the way it did, he would have never been the
person he was as an adult, and society would have never been able to see the writing
he could create. Nathaniel

The Doctrine Of Direct Effect And State Liability
The Issue relates to the application of the doctrine of direct effect, and possibly the
application of indirect effect and state liability if require in pursuant of invoking the
EU Transfer of Pensions Directive (TPD) in a UK national court (NC) in light of the
UK s national legislation which evidently fails to completely encompass the directive.
Directives are a secondary source of European Union(EU) legislation which in
accordance with Art 288 of the EC: are binding on the EU Member States (MSs) to
which it is addressed; they outlines objectives that need to be achieved; they is not
directly applicable; they instructs the alteration of domestic law so that it complies
with EU policy. Implementation rests in the jurisdiction of MSs, nonetheless
directives must be established by a specified deadline as a failure to can be a breach,
and MSs can be held to account before the European Court of Justice (CJEU).
Alfredo
For Directive (TPD) to be relied upon before UK court Alfredo must show that it is
directly effective. The doctrine of Direct Effect was originally established by the
CJEU in Van Gend en Loos . When an EU provision is directly effective it confers
invokable obligations and rights on individuals. This occurs when the following
limited conditions are established: the terms must clear, precise, and unconditional
and not be reliant of further legal measures .
It is questionable as to whether or not the TPD is clear and precise, but in accordance

Form and Structure of a Servant to Two Masters Essay
?A Servant To Two Masters? is the play that I studied. The structure is simplistic
but also dynamic. It is quite an unusual play this may be something to do with
coming under the genre of Comedia Del Art this is a form of theatre. Groups of
actors would travel and perform their improvised plays. Their plays would usually
be non scripted and be very much like a pantomime. If plays were ever written then
they would be written after they were performed. Comedia Del Arte was and still is
enjoyed by many people. Lower class citizens could enjoy the simplistic storylines, as
the upper class would admire the comedy within the play.
Lazzi scenes were used in the plays to make the audience laugh. The spectators
would most be looking forward to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lazzi scenes were spontaneous, however most of them were rigorously rehearsed
and the insertion in performance was sometimes pre planned, they added light
humour to the play and were enjoyed by the audience so when Truffaldino was the
surprising protagonist he played a great role, as he was a foolish character.
A strong narrative is used throughout the play. There is use of soliloquy, which were
humorous. Smeraldina?s speech about men ?If women had a position in this society
that was equal to their tact intelligence and ability to get things done you don?t think
they?d put up with you poncing around like some superannuated gondolier. They
wouldn?t give you a second glance, ?big boy?? (Act 2 Scene 5).
?A Servant To Two Masters? is a complicated story, however the audience always
know what is going on, this adds humour, as the audience are enlightened about the
plot twist bringing them closer to the characters. Truffaldino grabs the audience?s
hearts even though he is a fool, he makes the audience feel sorry for him when talking
about being hungry.
The play has been contemporised. Modern day language is used this makes it
easier to understand. Colloquialism of ?sod? and ?bollocks? are used these are
words that are often spoken today. Being rewritten to modern day language has
really helped me to understand the play more. In my opinion if I was to read the
play before it was adapted I don?t think I would of understood it.

Review Of The Fall Of Constantinople Essay
Jeffery Jacob World History [Teacher name here] December 21st, 2016 The Fall of
Constantinople Byzantium was one of the many Greek city states that stratled along
the coasts of the Aegean Sea. As an abundant source of Grains, fish, and trade, she
played a pivotal role as a landing for Darius colossal army against the Greeks; a
battleground between Athens and Sparta during the Pelloponessian war; and a prized
tributary under Roman supervision. The Roman Emperor, Constantine I, renamed the
city after himself and the newly christened Constantinoplegrew to eclipse Rome as
the greatest Capital of Europe. Even after the continent was plunged into the so
called Dark Ages ; protected by the indominable Theodosian Wall, The Queen of
Cities , as the Greek speaking Byzantines called her, retained her position as the
most prestine City of the early Middle Ages. And became the seat of power for the
great Basilieis, Greek plural for Emperors, and the venerated Patriarchs of the Eastern
Orthodox Church. Yet the middle ages made life more turbulant for the aged
Byzantine Empireas it lost vast swathes of land to the surging Muslim Caliphate;
struggled with internal corruption throughout its lifetime; clung desperately to its
commercial power in the face of competition from merchant republics such as Genoa
and Venice; and embroiled itself into several centuries of conflicts with the Turks
over control of Anatolia, modern day Turkey. However, its Religious influence grew
