Important Dates The Master Science in Computer Science operates on a 16-week (full semester) schedule. There are 2 semesters each year: Fall and Spring Next Semester Start Dates & Visa Application Deadlines:   Spring Semester 2025 Classes start: Jan. 6, 2025 Application, NEW Visa: Oct. 1, 2024 Transferring Existing Visa: Dec. 1, 2024 Note: Talk to Kellie if you are planning on a Fall 2025 Semester start date. 2024 New Visa: Oct. 1 Transferring: Dec. 1

The F-1 Visa Process—First Steps You will first need to apply to Capitol Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English proficiency via examination service (e.g., Duolingo, IELTS) and send a copy of the score to us Your undergraduate transcripts must be officially sent to Capitol. Transcripts from outside the US must be NACES evaluated

The F-1 Visa Process—After Acceptance We will inform you if the University has accepted you into our MS Computer Science program, then: Submit Copy of Passport and Financial Affidavit form with supporting documentation to Capitol (send to [email protected] ) We will issue your 1-20 after review of your Affidavit. You can only apply for a F-1 visa after you obtain the 1-20 Planning to live on campus? Space is limited. Let us know immediately

The F-1 Visa Process—Getting the Visa Pay the $185 Visa Application fee and print the receipt Schedule an appointment for a visa interview at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in your home country Gather all required documents (1-20, passport, fee receipt, financials, etc.) Attend the visa interview One you have scheduled your visa interview, please inform us so we can prepare for your arrival

Master’s Tuition & Fees These discounts are available to Master’s students. Note that we do not “Stack” or combine discounts: EdAssist Employee Discount (20% of tuition) Hometown Heroes (20% if you qualify) Alumni Discount (10% of tuition) Government or Corporate Sponsorships Note: As an international Student, you will need to plan on taking 3 courses (9 credit hours) per semester. . $778 International Student Fee ( Each Semester ) $630 (per credit) - plus $40 per credit fees (information technology & other applicable fees)*

The Next Steps Submit an Application Go to CapTechU.force.com and click on the apply now link and fill out the online application. The application fee is $50. Bachelor’s degree Credential Evaluation (NACES Evaluation) /Any official U.S. Transcripts Resume Goal Statement English Equivalency depending on your home county or evaluation GRE or GMAT tests are NOT required

NACES Evaluation If your bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree was completed outside the U.S., you MUST have your academic records evaluated by an independent accrediting agency NACES evaluation is required regardless of citizenship, language, or home country List of agencies: www.naces.org/members Select an agency Select “Course by Course Evaluation” as the type of evaluation Payment of the evaluation fees are the responsibility of the candidate Have the evaluation sent directly from the evaluator to [email protected] **Evaluations/Transcripts sent from candidates are not considered official** Have more questions?
