Activity: Longest Line T he task is to  create the longest line using participants' own bodies and any clothing or things in participants' pockets . Participants are not allowed to collect other things from the room/outside. Give the signal for the game to start and set a time limit, such as one minute. The team with the longest line wins.

What are the lessons have we learn from the game? Ask the participants

Important lessons we can learn from the game-Longest line In order to win the race, we need to empty ourselves so that God can enter into our lives We need to let go of the things that hinders our growth and relationship with God

Empty or letting go of what? Our own ideals Our sins Our own interests Anything that can hinder us in total surrender to God

Fears Attachments/Relationships Traumas Insecurities Anything that can hinder us in total surrender to God

We need to empty ourselves… So that God can reign in our lives, because only Him knows what is best for us!

FAITH Word from the latin fides , which means “trust” or “belief” An internal surrender of our whole self to God (Recall the greatest commandment)- to love God and our neighbor as we love ourselves

We cannot fully surrender to God if we will not empty ourselves ! We cannot show and professed and shoutout our faith to God if we will not empty ourselves!!!

The Catechism and Faith CCC 179, “Faith is a supernatural gift from God. In order to believe, man needs the interior help of the Holy Spirit”

Mustard seed “And the apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.’ The Lord replied, ‘If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to [this] mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you’” (Luke 17:5–6).

HOW TO NOURISH AND STRENGTHEN OUR FAITH? Ways to strengthen faith: prayer: communal and individual liturgy Sacraments service charity justice

Faith is a continuous cycle . The more you practice your faith, the stronger it will grow . The firm foundation of faith will sustain you even in difficult times.

Continuous Cycle of FAITH

Mary as Model of our Faith Theme . «Mary arose and went with haste» (Lk 1:39)

Jesus: Kenosis

Philippians 2:5-8 * 5  In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6  Who, being in very nature [ a ]  God,      did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7  rather, he made himself nothing/emptied himself      by taking the very nature [ b ]  of a servant,      being made in human likeness. 8  And being found in appearance as a man,      he humbled himself      by becoming obedient to death—         even death on a cross!

When I “pour out” I will always be full! Remember the widow who came to Elisha with no money ?  He told her to gather vessels and start to “pour out” her little pot of oil into a roomful of vessels.  She supernaturally filled all of them from her little pot and paid all her bills! The point?  When you pour out, you will always stay full.  People who “hoard” their gifts, their finances, their talents, their spare time never seem to have enough.

Everything I do

“ Wga puro ‘What Ifs’, matutuo rin kayong mag take risks.”

Sharing : Kumusta ka? Unsa ang mga butang nga angay nimong isurender sa Ginoo ?

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything!   (10x)  Mother Mary, I am yours now and forever.   Through you and with you I always want to belong completely to Jesus.

Preface IV For, although you have no need of our praise(faith), yet our thanksgiving is itself your gift, since our praises(Faith) add nothing to your greatness but profit us for salvation through Christ our Lord.
