A field trip is a visit to place outside the regular classroom which is designed to achieve certain objectives which cannot be achieved by using other means i.e. classroom setting. A visit to a factory , farm or museum by students and teacher for first hand observation. A trip by student to gain first hand knowledge away from the classroom, such as museum, factory, geological area or ecologically significant place. Field Visit by Asst. Planning: Plan place which is educationally important. Discuss place with school principal and management. Take permission to visit from director/curator of place to be visited. Plan date, time, schedule, travel route . Transport arrangement and expenditure to borne by each student. 2) Preparation : Prepare student for visit. Student should know objectives of visit. Student should know what is to be observed and recorded. Prepare requirement list for students. 3) Execution : Teacher should be supervisor. Teacher should cont inuously provide instruction. 4 ) Making Report: Make a report on field visit observation. Mentioned what student learned. Attach photograph of field visit. Report should be formal, concise with simple and formal language. 5) Evaluation : After visit teacher and student should review accomplishment of objectives. Share good and bad experiences.
