3. Statement of the Problem The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the figurative language used in the selected poems of John Keats. Specifically, it seeks to find an answer to the following questions : What are the types of figurative language used in the selected poems of John Keats? What is the general and detailed meaning of the poem containing figurative language? What is the most dominant of figurative language used in the poem? 3
