B.DEVELOPMENTAL
ACTIVITY
1.Activity Activity:
Brain Stretching
Purpose: Neuroplasticity is
defined as the ability of the
nervous system to change
its activity in response to
intrinsic or extrinsic stimuli by
reorganizing its functions.
This activity aims to energize
and excite the minds of the
learners in our discussion
regarding the brain and the
wonders it can do.
Instructions:
1. Instruct the students to
stand up and do the following
verbal instructions:
a. Tap and Sweep – Tap your
right fist on the right side of
your chest while sweeping
your left hand to your left
side. After you do this,
switch the motions of your
hands.
b. Triangle Circle – Draw a
circle in the air with your left
Activity:
Simon Says: Train Your Brain!
Purpose: This activity aims to
let the learners know what
their brains are capable of
doing. They will see how their
brains ought to function by
simply following
instructions.
Instructions:
1. Assign a class
representative who will act as
“Simon.”
2. Simon will give orders.
3. The rest of the class should
follow the given orders, but
only if Simon begins
them with "Simon says. . ."
Simon’s Orders:
a. Jump!
b. Simon says, “Exchange
seats with your friend!”
c. Say “Arf, arf!”
d. Simon says, “Turn your
things upside down!”
e. Simon says, “Greet your
Activity:
Give Me a Letter!
Purpose: The goal of this
activity is to integrate the new
concept of mind mapping
into the minds of the
students.
Instructions: Let the students
form a huge circle. The goal is
for every student to
join the game.
1. Ask the students if they
love organizing things.
2. Ask the students to lay out
their palms and put them on
their seatmates' hands. They
should look like they are
connected in one circle.
3. Ask them to touch the hand
of the person on their right.
3.Demonstrate this once.
Once they do this, proceed
with explaining the game.
4. At the start of the game,
ask a student to give you a
letter and a category

c. Rock, Paper, Scissors, Brain
– Play “rock, paper, scissors”
with yourself and let your
dominant hand beat your
other hand. Switch!
d. Pinky and Thumb – Make
two fists with your hands
facing you. Extend your left
thumb and right pinky at the
same time. Switch!
e. Body-Mind Infinity Drawing
– Raise both arms in front of
you and draw an infinity sign
in the air with your hands. At
the same time, move your
waist and hips to form the
infinity sign. Imagine drawing
this shape in your brain to
connect the left and right
hemispheres.
f. Opposite Shoulder Rotation
– Stretch your arms forward
with your palms facing each
other. Rotate one arm
clockwise while rotating the
seatmates and ask them how
they are doing.”
(any school-appropriate
topic).
5. The students should give
answers beginning with the
chosen letter. If no letter is
chosen, the answers may
begin with any letter.
6. Answers should be
continuous. If a student
cannot answer, he or she
loses the game.

following:
new scientific
discoveries about the
brain, and how these
affect learning.

Brain
The teacher will discuss the
brain three major parts, its
differences and its function.
The teacher will discuss the
following:
Dominant side of the
brain.
