Importance of GNP : Ensures public health, safety, and nutritional adequacy. Supports the development of safe and nutritious food products.
Background Evolution of GNP: The concept of Good Nutritional Practice has evolved over time in response to growing awareness of the impact of diet on health. Historically, nutritional practices were often based on traditional knowledge and customs. However, with the advancement of nutritional science, it became clear that more standardized practices were needed to address issues such as food safety, nutrient deficiencies, and diet-related chronic diseases.
