teaching this content?
The invitation (Attention Focusing)

This is where you will introduce the topic and grab your learners’ attention. It will set the tone for the rest of the lesson.

You must include a recap if this is a follow-up lesson or determine the learners’ entry situation here before introducing
your topic.

Summary and Integration

This is where you will summarize the content taught in the “body” of the lesson. No new content must be taught in this
phase. You will need to assess learners by using a method of assessment applicable to your lesson and availability of
time in order to check if you have achieved the aims you set for the lesson.
You can conclude in 3 ways (you can use one or two (or three if you have time) in the lesson):

1. Give a task to the learners to discuss what they have learned.

Expanded Opportunity

This is any opportunity outside the lesson for extra learning above what you have taught in the lesson. For example, if
you are teaching informal letters, your expanded opportunity could be showing the learners a video which showcases
the other types of letters. This section will include extra classes, extra resources etc.
