WHAT IS POLUTION?
Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials
into the environment. Landfills collect garbage and
other land pollution in a central location. Many
places are running out of space for landfills. These
harmful materials are called pollutants. Pollutants
can be natural, such as volcanic ash. They can also
be created by human activity, such as trash or
runoff produced by factories. Pollutants damage
the quality of air, water, and land.

WHAT IS VIOLENCE?
Violence is a global phenomenon resulting in the deaths of more than 1.6
million people each year, making it one of the leading causes of death
worldwide.

FORMS OF VIOLENCE;
Occurs when someone uses an
individual’s spiritual beliefs to manipulate,
dominate or control another person.
SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE
EMOTIONAL VIOLENCE
Occurs when someone says or does
something to make a person feel stupid
or worthless.
CULTURAL VIOLENCE
Occurs when an individual is harmed as a
result to practices that are part of her/his
culture, religion, or tradition.
PSYCHOLOGICAL VIOLENCE
Occurs when someone uses threats
and causes fear in an individual to
gain control.
SEXUAL VIOLENCE
Occurs when a person is forced to
unwillingly take part in sexual activity.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE
Occurs when someone uses a part of
their body or an object to control
someones action.

linked. Security, in this context, refers to
feeling safe and protected from physical,
emotional, and financial threats. Well-
being encompasses both your physical
and mental health. When you don't feel
secure, it takes a toll on your overall well-
being.
