Africa is called the Dark Continent because most people know very little about it.

Africa is not a dark continent it is a land flush with sunshine and vivid light. t he last continents to feel the influence of Western civilization c onsider it a backward continent.

Africa c overs an area as large as the United States, Western Europe, India and China One-fifth of the entire land surface of the globe n inety-percent of the diamond mines of the world f ifty-five percent of the gold mines

Africa p roduce two-thirds of the world’s supply of cocoa t hree-fifths of the world’s supply of palm oil it has immense reserves of water power

National parks in africa

t he animals make the continent extremely interesting and unique among all continents. a nimals play a dominant role in Africa mythology and folk stories .

Two Basic rules to follow in national parks Never get out of your car Never use, fire off, discharge, or explode any kind of firearm

The Albert National Park in Congo - over a million acres The National Park outside Nairobi - famous for the fact it is only five miles outside the City. - easily accessible by taxi - ride takes only fifteen minutes The Park contains about 14,000 wild animals in Africa
