Give 2 statements on each of the following fallacy: faulty logic, unsupported facts, emotional appeal. Establish different logical fallacies in the material viewed.

Motivational question: Do you usually believe in everything that the computer showed you? Advertisements on T.V.?

For our first activity, describe the following pictures and tell what have you noticed for each statement.

Logical Fallacies

What is Fallacy? Fallacy means a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound argument.

What are the types of fallacy? Faulty logic, unsupported facts, and emotional appeal.

What is a faulty logic? Faulty logic is a kind of persuasive technique used when making statements with imperfect reasoning or in the absence of sound judgment.

What is unsupported facts? Unsupported fact is not upheld by evidence or facts making the claim unsubstantiated or unconfirmed.

What is emotional appeal? Emotional appeal it relies on playing an emotion through manipulation.

Activity: Gather 2 statements on each of the following: 1. Faulty logic 2. Unsupported facts 3. Emotional appeal
