What are the Function of Society ? Society provides the basic need of its members – food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education, transportation and communication facilities, etc.
Here are the 3 Function examples of Society - Satisfaction of basic needs - Management of education - Management of the economy
Satisfaction of basic needs: This is very common, when they receive what they require, people will feel welcomed and fulfilled, which may cause them to rethink remaining in society. For example: eating foods, comfy shelters, good environment, tasty snacks etc.
Management of Education: It’s a process of planning, organizing and directing activities in a school, effectively utilizing human and material resources, in order to accomplish the school's objectives. For example: improving room’s cleanliness, proper teaching of lessons . etc
Management of Economy: Helps managers to make rational decisions by analyzing challenges and applying principles in economics. For example: increase bank’s security, balance farmer’s income, the safety of mining below ground for miners and etc.
3 Types of Society : - hunter-gatherer -agricultural - industrial / post-industrial
Hunter Gatherer: It is a type of subsistence lifestyle that relies on hunting and fishing animals and foraging for wild vegetation and other nutrients like honey, for food.
Agricultural: It is the art and science of cultivating the soil, growing crops, and raising livestock. It includes the preparation of plant and animal products for people to use and their distribution to markets.
Industrial/Post-Industrial: It is a society driven by the use of technology and machinery to enable mass production, supporting a large population with a high capacity for division of labor.
According to Economic Material System: The Philippines' tax-to-GDP ratio was 18.1% in 2021, below the Asia and Pacific (29) average of 19.8% by 1.7 percentage points. It was also below the OECD average (34.1%) by 16.1 percentage points. The tax-to-GDP ratio in the Philippines increased by 0.2 percentage points from 17.8% in 2020 to 18.1% in 2021.
According to People’s Substances: Involvement of certain individuals by the government has impacted people’s trusts. This would also cause resentment in the society, which will have negative effects.
According to Revolutionary View: They believed in individual freedom, limited government, and the rule of law. They opposed the absolute power of monarchs and aristocrats and sought to establish representative governments that would be accountable to the people. Other revolutionaries were influenced by the ideas of socialism.
