REPORT ON NUTRITION PRACTICAL Nutrition is a branch of science that has its great significance in all aspects of life. Nutrition plays a vital role throughout the life of an individual. It includes all the stages of life from the intrauterine life to geriatric life involving all other physical work and physiological stressors in a man’s life. We were given an opportunity to conduct our nutrition practical on 6 th and 7 th of September 2024. Our nutrition practical was entitled ‘THREPSI FIESTA’ 2024. The practical was conducted under guidance of our Principal madam Mrs.Nahomi Clement and our coordinator Mrs.Asha.G.Nair .

We the group 4 entitled ourselves as ‘POSHANASHALA’ under the guidance of Mrs.Asha , Mrs.Maya , Ms.Reshma consisted of 10 students. We prepared a sum of 4 diet pounding with nutrients. We had a wide range of diet starting from Adolescent girls, Antenatal mother, Obese person to Geriatric person. All these categories had their variety of nutritional requirements. The diet and menu was planned accordingly with our mentor’s support and advices. While planning for each diet, we focused on the variety of dishes and their nourishment to each categories consuming them. On the 5 th of September , we all coordinated and sent two of our group mates to get groceries and other essentials for cooking . .

The budget for our nutrition practical was equally split among every student from each group. We also planned to getting us matching clothes and apron for our practical. While planning for AV.aids ,we focused on the content quality and attractivity.We were allotted with 5 hours of time to prepare and present our dishes from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm We had variety of meals displayed , that had their nutrient riches along with their deliciousness.We also had a series of ‘GUESS THE DISH’ in which the judges were asked to taste the dish and guess what it was. We had meals like Asparagus rice , Liver fry , Chicken thoran , Elayappam with sprouted moong dal, Banana spike cutlet , Drumstick leaves cutlet , Vazhappindi juice , Dates ball , Aval milk etc. The time was well managed and wisely used by our group to make sure that all the dishes got ready in time.

The presentations were done by 1pm and the dishes were tasted by all the judges and they were remarked. It was a great experience to be a part of nutrition practical. It was a wonderful and unforgetful memory to hold on…….. We had meals like Asparagus rice , Liver fry , Chicken thoran , Elayappam with sprouted moong dal, Banana spike cutlet , Drumstick leaves cutlet , Vazhappindi juice , Dates ball , Aval milk etc. The time was well managed and wisely used by our group to make sure that all the dishes got ready in time.
