3. DISCRIPTION Jasuonates are phospholipids derived hormones that regulate plant development and responses to environmental stress. They slow normal growth and developmental processes that are sensitive to the environmental stress. Also promote multiple responses to stressful conditions. They also promote flower and fruit development .

4. DISCOVERY OF JASUONATES Jasuonates also called jasmonates (JA) Jasuonates was derived from Jasmium grandflorum led to the discovery of the molecular structure of Jasmonates and their name in 1992. It was discovered by many researchers such as Alderidge et al in 1971 and Ishinguro et al 2000. Researchers have identified the biosynthes pathway called octadecanoid . Jasmonates are synthesis from a linolenic acid which is derived from phospholids , via the octadecanoid pathway.
