Ways to get involved in community-based activities (when the pandemic is over and in the new normal) 1. Be informed of the announcements in your barangay. 2. Through the help of your family, ask your barangay workers about the health program for children that you can avail. 3. Share your knowledge and skills learned in school to your neighbors of same age. 4. Participate in cleaning drive projects. 5. Be part of the community helpers. 6. Follow community protocols.

Understanding and applying these tips would help you contribute to the needs of the community. The lessons learned in school are teaching us to become a helpful person so that the positive contributions will promote positive changes in your community and country. Try to apply some of the lessons learned in your daily life.

In a clean sheet of paper, describe the pictures below. Tell if it helps the community or not. Then, answer the processing questions. Processing Questions: 1. Was it easy for you to describe the pictures and identify which is helpful or not helpful? 2. Do you also perform activities that are helpful in your community? How? 3. What is the importance of sharing your learning in school to community-based activities?

Create a box using recycled materials. For each side of the box, write down ways to participate in school and community activities. Make the best design for your box.

Using the box that you created in “What I Have Learned”, toss it in the air four times. For every toss, the statement that will be on the top of the box will be your commitment to your community. Copy and complete the “Commitment to Community” on your answer sheet.   Commitment to Community   I, ____(write your name)______, will do my best to share my learnings at home and in school to the community because I want to ___(roll the activity box and copy the activity here)_____. The box says, today I will ___(roll the activity box and copy the activity here)_____. The box says, tomorrow I will ask my parent/household member to help me in ___(roll the activity box and copy the activity here)_____. The box says, I will always ___(roll the activity box and copy the activity here)_____. So help me, God.
