Intensive poultry farming allows for a high density of birds in a relatively small area. This efficiency in space utilization is especially important in areas where land availability is limited or expensive. Through careful management of factors like nutrition, lighting, and environment, intensive farming can lead to higher rates of productivity in terms of egg production or meat yield per bird. Intensive poultry farming can be economically advantageous for farmers due to economies of scale. With larger numbers of birds, farmers can benefit from bulk purchasing of feed, equipment, and other supplies, potentially reducing per-unit costs and increasing profitability. With climate-controlled facilities, intensive farming can support year-round production, reducing seasonal fluctuations in supply and demand for poultry products. Intensive farming often involves the use of advanced technologies such as automated feeding systems, climate control systems, and data analytics. These technologies can improve efficiency, reduce labor costs, and enhance overall farm management. While intensive farming can have environmental challenges, such as waste management and resource consumption, it can also offer some benefits. For example, efficient use of land and resources can lead to lower overall land use compared to extensive farming methods. Intensive System Md. Safiul Alam Bhuiyan Faculty of Sustainable Agriculture
