How to Repair Windows 7
It probably happened to you w hile you w ere in the middle of something important; your screen turned blue and your computer
restarted because something w as preventing your operating system to w ork correctly. Or maybe your laptop w as in sleep mode and
now it w on't start up again. Your operating system w on't start up because something is preventing it. In this tutorial w e will explain
step-by-step how to repair Window s 7 when something is preventing it from starting up. You w ill need a Window s 7 CD.
Step 1:
Turn on your computer and insert a Window s 7 CD. After that, press “F12″ to boot the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM.

Note: Not every computer uses the “F12" button to boot the CD/DVD ROM. Different buttons are used but “F12” is the most
common. Another w ay of booting from the CD/DVD ROM is to set the boot priority in BIOS.






After you press the “F12” button, the follow ing w indow will show up. Choose to start from your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver and press
“Enter”. In my case my DVD-ROM is “MATSHITADVD-RAM”.



After you press “ Enter” your computer w ill start to boot from CD-ROM/DVD-ROM. You w ill get the follow ing window: “Press any
key to boot from CD or DVD."


After you have pressed any key on your keyboard, the Setup w ill start loading files like in the follow ing image:

Step 2:
After you have finished with Step 1,the follow ing picture will show up. In this w indow select “Language to install ”, “Time and
currency format “ and “Keyboard or input methods” and press “Next” to continue.

To continue repairing your computer press “Repair your computer"


After you have pressed “Repair your computer", Window s 7 setup w ill lead you to another step.
If you think that something is preventing your computer from starting, then press Startup Repair.
If the first option does not w ork then choose the second one, w hich is System Restore. Using System Restore, you can fix a lot of
problems and prevent your computer from starting up.
There are a few other options you can use but in this tutorial w e will only cover the first two options.



Step 3:
This w indow will show up. In this w indow choose a restore point and press “Next”.
After you have selected “Next” wait for the System Restore to finish its job. After that your Window s 7 might start up again.



So, now you know how to repair your Window s 7 operating system by using a Window s 7 CD. Either by using System Restore or
Start Up Repair, you are all set!
