IBPS SO exam is being conducted to recruit students for the specialist officer posts in the banks IBPS SO exam is conducted for the post of IT Officer / Law Officer / Agricultural Officer / Rajbhasha Adhikari / HR Officer and Marketing Officer The method of examination is online The IBPS SO recruitment includes 2 phases of tests – Preliminary and Main before at last being absorbed for the post.

IBPS SO Exam Details - Eligibility Criteria: The IBPS SO criteria is in the form of a student’s nationality According to the IBPS Authority, every student must belong to one of the following A Student should be citizen of India A Student should be citizen of Nepal A Student should be citizen of Bhutan The age of student should be in between 20 to 30 years Education Qualification: For Law Officer: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law along with enrolment as Advocate in Bar Council For IT Officer: Engineering Degree in CS/IT/Computer Application/Electronics/ Electronics & Communication or a Post Graduation degree in computer science /IT/Computer Application/Electronics/Electronics and Communication

For Marketing Officer: Full time MBA in Marketing For HR Personnel Officer: Post Graduation Degree or PGDM in Personnel Management/ Labour Laws/HR/HRD Agricultural Field Officer: Graduation in Animal Husbandry/ Agri Marketing & Cooperation/Dairy Science/Horticulture/Agriculture Engineering/Fishery Science/Agro-Forestry. For the PWD Category, age relaxation is 10 Years For the SC / ST Category, age relaxation is 5 Years For the J&K, age relaxation is 5 Years For the Ex-Servicemen, age relaxation is 5 Years For the OBC Candidate, age relaxation is 3 Years

IBPS Exam Details – Exam Pattern: The exam is conducted in two phases – Preliminary & Main Preliminary Examination: For Post of Law Officer & Rajsabha Adhikari Paper 1 will be of 120 minutes and will comprise of 125 marks The sections asked are English Language, Reasoning, General awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry English Language 50 Questions for 25 Marks Reasoning 50 Questions for 50 Marks General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry 50 Questions for 50 Marks Total question is 150 for total 125 Marks

For other specialist officers (Agricultural field officer, Marketing Officer(scale I), HR / Personnel Officer, IT Officer Scale I) Paper 1 will be of 120 minutes and will comprise of 125 marks The sections asked are English Language, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude English Language 50 Questions for 25 Marks Reasoning 50 Questions for 50 Marks Quantitative Aptitude 50 Questions for 50 Marks Total question is 150 for total 125 Marks Main Examination: For the Post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer Paper 1 will be of 45 minutes and will comprise of 60 marks

The sections asked for Professional Knowledge Professional Knowledge 60 Questions for 60 Marks For the Post of Rajbhasha Adhikari Paper 1 will be of 60 minutes and will comprise of 60 marks The Sections asked for Professional Knowledge (Objective) and Professional Knowledge (Descriptive) Professional Knowledge (Objective) 45 Questions for 30 Minutes duration Professional Knowledge (Descriptive) 2 Questions for 30 Minutes duration The above tests except for the Tests of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English & Hindi For each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. The Exam will be conducted online and it will carry objective type questions.

Focus on more the professional language subject. Remaining other subjects, they need to study only for the qualifying marks. While practicing only solves questions using tricks. For English there is not much to prepare in less than one month. So just go for grammar section.  And try reading books like novels or magazines. Newspaper is found to be boring by students. Start giving tests online so that you can know your weak points and improve them.   Attempt mathematics first, then English and reasoning. Don’t give too much time to one question how alluring it may be. Time is actually money here. Firstly, in the beginning of the study process, you should have a focused and should be a methodical approach towards your study. And start a honest analysis of yourself.

Take the test as though you were answering the real one.  Take it seriously. And then, when you are done, see the patterns of your results.  Mock tests do help in your own way. Take every mock test as if it’s the actual exam. Don’t take tests for the sake of taking tests. These tests will not to tell you how good you are, but how you can be better. Try to analyze these tests to understand your strengths and weaknesses. Learn from your mistakes and don’t keep repeating them. Don’t demotivate from Mocks Test score, The biggest myth is, student have in their mind is that if they are not scoring good marks in Mock Test, they feel that it’s waste of preparation and time.
