Kitex Garments Ltd Kitex Garments Ltd is the largest employer in private sector in the state of Kerala. The company is currently the second largest producer of children's apparel in the world Started with a turnover of 1.8crores in the year 1995-96 , which now has grown to a turnover of 524 crores in the year 2014-15 It caters to prominent and renowned conglomerates in USA and Europe It is located near Kochi, Kizhakkambalam A part of the renowned Anna- Kitex group of companies was founded by the legendary Late Shri M. C. Jacob

Functional Activities

Corporate Social Responsibility Policy For the Kitex Group, reaching out to underserved communities is part of their HERITAGE . Vision for CSR To transform Kizhakkambalam Panchayath into the best among the 978 Panchayaths in the state. CSR -------> TSR TSR- Total Social Responsibility , which takes care of whole family

Health Care Toilets Drinking water Health and Medical Check-up Camps - 3800 families participated. Free medicines were distributed. Medical facilities were extended to 463 major/minor operations at some of the leading hospitals in the district. Safe drinking water was provided to some of the backward colonies located in and near the Kitex factory. Six bore wells were provided in those colonies. Housing Education Agriculture 37 villas of Rs.14,50,000 each were constructed. 40 houses are under construction in Kizhakkambalam panchayath . Farming was undertaken on 300 acres of farmland with the full co-operation of farmers in and near the Kitex factory. Multi-crop harvesting was carried out through the year. In 2013, the Kitex Group distributed 2278 bags to school children in the backward areas of Ernakulam District with an effort to extend primary education to financially backward students. Food Security Programmer 2020 stall – 60% discount 8000 people are provided with a card and they can buy things from this stall.
