Instructions for college reading students creating a Townsend Press account

This presentation was designed to assist college reading students at Tarrant County College Southeast campus successfully create a student account at TownsendPress.net.

2. 1. Go to www.townsendpress.net

3. 2. Click “Create an Account”

4. 3. Click “Create a Student Account”

5. 4. Enter the required information (be sure to use your TCC email address, select Tarrant County College as your school, and pick Jacquelyn Minor as your instructor).

6. 5. When you get to the confirmation page, just log in by clicking the red “Home” icon. 6. The system will tell you that you are in the Practice Lab and there are no assignments. Email me to let me know you’ve created your account, and I will move you out of the Practice Lab into the regular course room.

7. 7. HOW TO BEGIN YOUR WORK… First , take the College Reading Test Form A.

8. 8 . Select the reading book Ten Steps to Improving College Reading

9. 9 . Assignments that are due will be available for you to begin work. Allow yourself at least an hour to complete them.
