What is Skillhub www.rooman.net 2 Background With an aim to utilize the permanent infrastructure and other resources like trainers available at the educational institutions, Skill Hubs will be setup in Government and Private Schools, Colleges, Universities (including Skill Universities) and other Higher Education Institutions. This is in-line with the Whole-of-Government approach. All such institutions will be allowed to implement Short Term Training as per PMKVY 4.0 Guidelines. 25+ Years Of excellence

Facts and Figures about Skillhub project @ VTU www.rooman.net 3 25+ Years Of excellence Future Skill courses offered under Skillhub is of 400 plus hours 60-90 Hrs of OJT to be conducted at the end of the course. At VTU two programs launched under Skillhub , Internship program and Regular FutureSkill . Internship Program will be conducted for 6-8 Hrs a day and it can be completed in 3 Months. Regular Future Skill program can be offered for 2 Hrs a day or during the vacation, in consultation with the college

4. Course Delivery for Internship www.rooman.net 4 Course will be delivered in online mode by expert trainers of Rooman. Student must be present in the Classroom and the lecture need to be broadcasted in the class. For every 2 batches, one student coordinator to be nominated by the college. Student coordinator will ensure the attendance and attention of student in the class. Rooman will give the access of LMS for the student to complete their assessment and assignments. 25+ Years Of excellence

6. Pre-Requisites for Training www.rooman.net 6 Infrastructure: Adequate classrooms for theory classes and laboratories based on the Job Role (e.g., Computer Lab for IT Courses). Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) installed and registered on the NIC platform. Attendance of Candidates, Trainers, and Assessors captured through AEBAS. Trainer: Futureskill training can be conducted by Online Trainer to a maximum of 4 batches of 45 candidates each A student coordinator must be present during the class in the classroom. Selection of Candidates: The scheme targets unemployed youths aged 15-45 years interested in Futureskill Program. Eligibility criteria for candidates are defined in the respective course curriculum of the Job Role offered. 25+ Years Of excellence

Implementation Modalities www.rooman.net 7 National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is the implementing arm of the MSDE and shall provide all required handholding support and technical assistance in implementation of PMKV 4.0 in Skill Hubs. The entire training lifecycle from enrolment to certification and tracking will be done through Skill India Digital for which necessary orientation and handholding support will be provided by NSDC. Skill Hubs in Schools or Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) can decide on the timings for training i.e., either during normal working hours or after working hours, based on the availability of infrastructure. On-the-Job Training (OJT) has been mandated under the scheme in applicable Job Roles. It shall be the responsibility of the institutions to arrange for OJT in nearby industry or establishments Assessment and certification would be done through the third party agencies namely, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) or any other National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) approved awarding body. The State Education Board/Technical Education Board can also become an awarding body under NCVET. Skill Hub will be required to register on the Skill India Digital with requisite details of available classroom, labs, trainers, etc. 25+ Years Of excellence

9. Rooman Support www.rooman.net 9 Coordinate with NSDC and the respective SSC to launch the skill development program in College Assist College to register as skill hub on NSDC portal. Provide qualified Trainers for classroom training and industry training. Identify and counsel the suitable candidates based on their qualification, aspirations, mobility etc. and enroll them under Skill Development Scheme. Enroll all the shortlisted candidates under Skill India portal Conduct in-house assessment and award marks of all the candidates. Provide employment assistance to trained candidates as per scheme guidelines Coordinate with assessment agency and make sure all the candidates get assessed. Arrange OJT for the eligible candidates as per the jobrole requirement. 25+ Years Of excellence

10. Role Of College www.rooman.net 10 Fulfil infrastructure requirements of the scheme, i.e. space norms such as class room, workshop, training centre and other basic amenities in training wing. Create awareness about Skill Training among all the Colleges / Candidates affiliated / Enrolled with VTU. Monitor the regular attendance of the candidates and make sure minimum 70% attendance of all the enrolled candidates till the training completion. Coordinate to make sure all the eligible candidates will attend the 3rd party assessment conducted by the respective Sector Skill Council. Provide Supervisors and Support Staff for smooth coordination between Rooman & candidates, enrolled for the training. 25+ Years Of excellence
