Introduction: Teacher Education is a program, activity, or training for the professional knowledge development of teachers. Education is the key for development of any nation, and it depends on the quality of teachers. The teacher is the key factor of such kind of best education in schools and colleges. His role is as the guide, as the facilitator, as the mentor and the Guru of the students. “The teacher is the most important element in any educational program. 4 Review of Related Literature: Dixit M. (2014) teacher education in India - problems and suggestions. The intent of the present paper is to enhance the teacher education quality in India by focusing on the emerging issues & related concerns. The paper concludes that teacher education system in India that calls for revolutionary changes. Shyamal, M. (2015) in his paper Emerging Trends in ICT for Education & Training, highlight that the major emphasis of ICT infusion in pedagogy should be such that it tends to improve learning, motivate and engage learners, promote collaboration, foster enquiry and exploration, and create a new learner centered learning culture. It should permit the move from reproductive model of teaching and learning to an independent, autonomous learning model that promotes initiation, creativity and critical thinking with independent research Imam A. Conclusion Teacher and his education are very significant aspects of any nation and country like India produced a vast manpower of education. The education gives a new shape to the individual and the nation as well. It is a well-known saying that teacher is the nation builder. The quality of teacher education programme needs to be up graded and the expectations from teacher education need to be fulfilled. Teacher education has not come up to the requisite standards. Teachers are not able to think critically and solve the issues related to problem based learning. teacher education programme needs a comprehensive reform and shift from subject based learning to problem solved learning. The curriculum of teacher education programme needs to be revised according to holistic understanding.
