Counseling services requires proper
infrastractural set up as it is health
care institutional.
2. Resistance to counseling
In nursing educaion ,the counseling
generally resisted by individual as it is
commom belief that only those who
have problems needs counseling.

As nursing is nble profession and it requires a
great adjustment on the part nurse so they need a
lot of coumseling to adapt to this health care
institution.
4. Non recognition of counseling profession
Counselors do not have their own unique identity
as health professionals and they are paid low as it
is belived that they not talk and listen to their
client.

Better counseling outcome requires appropriate
counselor counselee ratio but generally it is very
low.
6. Paucity of funds for counseling services
There is lack of funds spends on counseking
services and in absence ofsuch one cannot expect
the better services in health care institution.

7. 7. Lack of competent counselor
No special emphasis is given to trained counselor in
nursing education which require guidance in almost
every field as they need to adjust in the institution and
in the educational set up.
8. Ethical and moral issues
There is needof ethical and moral principles in
counseling which should be properly like confidentiality
of information so that patients feel free to discuss
his/her views freely.
