introduction The permanent legal transfer of all parental right from one person to another person or couple is called adoption .Adoptive parents have the same responsibilities and legal right as biological parents.

definition “ Adoption is a legal process by which a child is placed with a married couple or a single female who agree to raise her as their own child and assume all responsibility for her.” OR “ Adoption is a legal process in which adopt the child through the court.”

objective To get old – age protection by the adoption child. To perpetuate family name and fame. To keep secured the family property.

purpose To control population. To save life of a child. To provide a good family. To provide a better future of child.

disadvantage Very strict rule of child adoption. Very strict guideline of domestic adoption. Sudden change decision of biological mother.

Role of nurse To meet the needs and desires of their parents. Nurse should encourage the parents maintain emotional bounding with a children. Nurse should encourage the parents for provide effective care to the child. Nurse should educate the parents about legal and ethical importance.
