Title Development of Teaching and Learning Materials for Least-Learned Competencies Aparri School of Arts and Trades SY 2025–2026

Introduction / Rationale Issues in least-learned competencies (Science, Math, English) Aligned with DepEd thrust: Quality, accessible, relevant education Need to strengthen curriculum, instruction, and learning resources

Objectives Develop LR and teaching/learning materials aligned with 21st-century skills Train teachers on the use of LRMDS templates and resources Improve student performance in least-learned competencies Strengthen teachers’ capacity in resource development and evaluation

Description of the Practice Formation of teacher development teams per subject/grade level Training on LRMDS template use Gathering resources from LRMDS and other recommended sources Development, trial, revision, and production of pilot materials Monitoring and evaluation through classroom observations

Stakeholders Involvement LRMDS Committee – training & quality assurance Subject Area Heads – coordination of teams Teachers – development & trial of materials ICT Coordinator – training on LRMDS & digital tools Local Government & School MOOE – funding support

Evidence of Success / Results At least 2 LR materials developed per subject/grade level Improved performance in identified least-learned competencies Teachers more proficient in using LRMDS templates Pilot-tested materials positively received by students Stronger collaboration among teachers across grade levels

Lessons Learned Collaboration accelerates resource development Continuous training improves teacher confidence in LR creation Trial and feedback from students are crucial before mass production Local funding support is vital for sustainability

Replicability / Transferability Practice can be adopted by other schools/districts using LRMDS framework Template-guided LR development ensures consistency across subjects Scalable to other learning areas beyond Science, Math, and English

Sustainability Regular capacity-building for teachers Updating and improving LR based on test results and classroom feedback Institutionalization through SIP and AIP Ongoing support from LGU and school funds

Conclusions / Recommendations Enhances teacher capability and student learning outcomes Recommendations: - Institutionalize LR development teams per subject - Strengthen LGU–school partnership for support - Share best practices with other schools in the division/region
