3. Library as a learning Resource Library is a Treasure house of Knowledge and it is considered as the heart of any educational institution . The importance of an academic library in the process of higher learning and promotion of research has long been established and that is why it is considered as the heart of any academic institution whether it is a college or university. A college library is the hub of teaching learning activities of its parent institute and no academic activity i.e. teaching, learning and research can be completed without the ample support of its rich and resourceful central library.

4. Library Management Library management is a sub-discipline of  institutional management that focuses on specific issues faced by libraries and library management professionals . Library management encompasses normal managerial tasks, as well as  intellectual freedom and fundraising responsibilities. Issues faced in library management frequently overlap with those faced in managing  non profit organization.

Most of the libraries that store physical media like books, periodicals, film, and other objects adhere to some derivative of the  Dewey Decimal System  as their method for tagging, storing, and retrieving materials based on  unique identifiers. The use of such systems have caused librarians to develop and leverage common constructs that act as tools for both library professionals and library users alike. These constructs include master catalogs, domain catalogs, indexes, unique identifiers, unique identifier tokens, and artifacts.

Use of L ibrary Books as Learning Resources Books are essential in a variety of ways, it not only enrich your mind or entertains you  but it has guided many people’s through different phases of their life and has been a reliable reference for centuries .  They stimulate your senses and promote good mental health.  Reading books enhances your vocabulary, allowing you to travel through words, and many times motivates you to stand and start again through various motivational literatures.

Continuing… If we talk about books then, library is its integral part .  Library is an organized collection of information resources made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing and this collection of information may be in the form of books, newspapers, journals and research papers etc. In today’s digital world library is also having collections of audio cassettes, video tapes, CD’s, DVD’s and e-books. The library plays an important role in our academic as well as social lives.

12. Print Resources   Print sources are sources that have been published in printed format, such as many daily newspapers, magazines, academic or trade journals, books, government reports, etc. Textbooks. Workbooks. Self-Instructional materials. Supplementary reading materials.

13. TEXTBOOKS A  textbook  is a book containing a comprehensive compilation of content in a branch of  study  with the intention of explaining it. Textbooks are produced to meet the needs of educators, usually at educational institutions .   Schoolbooks  are textbooks and other books used in schools. Today , many textbooks are published in both print and digital formats.

14. WORKBOOKS The workbook is designed to hold together multiple worksheets in order to allow efficient organization and consolidation of data. Typically , a workbook has a single theme and contains worksheets with related data.

15. SELF-INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL Self-instructional materials are teaching materials that specifically meant to enable students to self-learn (or independently learn on their own) about a topic/issue etc.

16. Organising Mathematics Laboratory A Mathematics library provides immediate access to the necessary mathematics books It facilitates timely use of the books and inculcates reference skills. It provides mathematics teacher with an important role in the selection of relevant books for the mathematics library.
