NEW JOURNEY Visiting a Multilingual Country Navigating language choices can be difficult.

Problem The Arabic learning community is learning different dialects simultaneously.

Solution The Zayed University Arabic department should teach only Emirati Arabic dialect for the whole course.

Benefits Understand the language and retain information As mentioned by El-Omari and Batanineh (2018), learning one language helps to understand Day-to-day interaction with local people As noted by Alnosairee and Sartini (2021), Arabic dialects are day-to-day communicative languages. Create common ground According to Choe(2022), understanding local language helps to have a mutual connection.

Conclusion Implementation of the solution by the Arabic Department to solve the community’s problem will benefit the Arabic Department. Boosts student enrollment in the Arabic course Enhance the Arabic department’s reputation
