What is Rhythm? This is a measured motion of flow, characterized by basically regular recurrence of elements of features as beats, sound s , or accents . This definition implies measurement of time, space and energy .
Rhythms. Is a term which denotes an aspect of a quality of movement that is sometimes thought of as dance. When an individual moves in response to a particular rhythm or music we call the movements as rhythmic movements or rhythms. Structured forms which start creative rhythmic movements are called rhythms.
Rhythmic activities are the physical manifestations of the mental and emotional response of the individual to rhythm. They are activities which a child responds to physically, socially, and mentally to regular patterns of sound. They are also a source of enjoyment for people of all ages. Through these activities, skills and the sense of rhythm are acquired and developed, feelings are expressed, basic principles of time, space and force can be experienced.

Note Pattern refers to a note or set of notes with or without rest used for a certain dance step.
Time Signature used to specify how many beats are in each bar and which note value constitutes one beat.
2. Measure refers to the identical grouping of underlying beats. This group of notes is between two bar lines. 3 . Rhythmic Pattern is a definite grouping of sounds or beats related to the underlying beat. It is also called melody pattern because the rhythmic pattern follows the words or melody.
4. Phrasing is a group of measures that gives a feeling of unity. Learning to identify or recognize phrases is essential to learning and creating dances. 5. Accent is the force or emphasis given to any one beat in a series of pulse beats in a measure.
6. Tempo is the rate of speed of the movement, music or accompaniment. 7. Intensity is the quality of movement or music. It refers to dynamics or force such as heavy or light.
