A Detailed Lesson Plan for Kindergarten (Meeting Time 1)

Content Standard: The child is able to: demonstrates an understanding of physical properties and movement of objects; understand objects in the environment have properties or attributes (e.g., color, size, shapes, and functions) and that can be manipulated based on these properties and attributes. Performance Standard: The child shall be able to work with objects and materials safely and appropriately.

I. Objectives: General Objectives/ Learning Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to : Classify objects according to observable properties like size, color, texture, weight and functions . PNEKPP-00-1 Explore how objects can be moved like pushing, pulling, rising, sinking, blowing PNEKPP-00-4 Use objects and materials safely PNEKPP-00-6

B. Cultured-Based Objectives: Identify the means of land transportation vehicles found in Brgy . MANLIPAC Enumerate the land transportation vehicles orally Express their experiences on riding a land transportation vehicle

II. Subject Matter: Topic/Content Focus : We go to places in many ways and means ( Land ). B. Message: There are many ways I can go to places by land. Questions: How do you go to lungsod ? What are the vehicles that you ride? What are we going to do if we will ride a vehicle? Why?

There are many land vehicles that you can ride to go to different places. With motor (motorbike, jeep, etc.) Pulled by animals ( kalesa , karusa ). Manual driven by people (bike, padyak , etc.) B. Motivation:

Okay, so this morning children, we will be having a new lesson but before that we will sing and dance another song. So, I would like everybody to stand up and look at the video and follow it. Are you ready? The teacher will play the video and dance with kids: “Wheels on the bus Transportation song.” ” Yes, teacher!” The learners are singing and dancing.

C. Discussion: Based on the song that we sang and danced. Do you have an idea already on our lesson for today? Today children, we will learn first about the land transportation vehicles. So, land transportation vehicles are vehicles that we used to go somewhere by land. So, I will show you more examples of land transportation vehicles. Can you help me name the vehicles in the picture? Yes, teacher, It’s about vehicles. “Yes, Teacher”

The teacher will show another pictures on means of land transportation vehicles available in the local area/barangay (for contextualization) Very good! Again children, where do you most likely see these vehicles? “on land”

D. Engagement Activities A. At this moment children, we will have a game. Do you want to play? I will divide you into three (3) groups. Each group will be given a flag. The first group to raise the flag will be given the chance to answer first. Each group should guess on what kind of vehicles are in the pictures. And, where do the vehicles run? Is it by land or not? Okay, Are you ready? “Yes, Teacher” “Yes, Teacher”

The teacher will show the pictures. Very good!! You’ve got the correct answer. Good job kids!!   B. Let’s have another activity. But let us know first our rules.   Very good! Rule No. 1. Sit properly 2. Listen and wait 3. Cooperate 4. Work quietly 5. Pass your work when your done

The teacher will distribute the activity sheets to each group according to their level. Group 1- Basic-: Cut the pictures of land transportation vehicles and paste it in the bond paper. Group 2- Average : Guntinga ang mga hulagway ug ipatapot kini sa insaktong han -ay sa paagi sa paglihok sa sakyanan .

Group 3- Independent: I- drowing ang ( ) kon ang sakyanan nga gigamit sa yuta molihok pinaagi sa motor, ( ) kon pinaagi sa pagbira sa hayop og ( ) kon pinaagi sa pag drayb sa tawo . (see attached group activity sheets) Okay, do your activity now. Don’t forget to write your name on the top. Are you done? “Yes, Teacher” The learners are doing their activity “Not yet, teacher”

Okay, take your time…if you are done, pass your activity sheet to me. E. Checking of Outputs/ Generalization: The teacher will ask the following questions: What are the different land transportation vehicles? “Thank you, Teacher” These are, car, police car, train, bike, motorbike.

How the land vehicles move? So, children, do you think that learning the land transportation vehicles is important? In what way? Wow! That’s a very good answer. It is important to know the different land transportation vehicles so that we will know what vehicles we will ride on if we want to go to somewhere by land . It moves through pulled by animals, with motor or manual driven by people. Yes, teacher so that we will be able to know on what vehicles we will ride on when we go to somewhere.

IV. Evaluation: At this point of time, I will check if you really learned our discussion for today’s lesson.

V. Agreement: Cut out pictures that belong to the land transportation. Then, tell something about it to the class on our next meeting. Thank you
