Teaching Aids : Tape, Cassette, Markers, Flashcard and worksheet of family
members
Time : 90 Minutes
Objectives :
 Ss are able to complete the map with the vocabulary about members of family and
pronounce them
 Ss are able to find out the detail information and complete the task
 Ss are able to act out the dialogue with ReLouse technique
 Ss are able to use intonation in the statement and learn to sound natural when
making sentences
 Ss are able to ask and answer the question using present continuous
 Ss are able to discuss families using present continuous

Procedure:

1. Greeting
2. Brainstorming words about family members
3. write down the family member after showing the flash card
4. Drill Ss about the family member
5. Ask Ss to fill the Sam’s family tree
6. Check Ss’ task
7. Ask Ss to make their own family tree and ask Ss to tell in front of class
8. Ask Ss to answer the relationship of the family
9. Explain Ss about the task and focus Ss’ attention on pictures about their
relationship in the family
10. Play the cassette and Ss listen and then Ss complete the task
11. Check Ss’ task by reading aloud
12. Ask Ss about family “What does your brother do?”
13. Ask Ss about the picture in ex.3 “What does she/he do?”

14. Book closed, Ask to listen the cassette after dividing into 2 groups
15. Ask Ss to practice impairs by using Relouse technique.
16. Ss present in front of class
17. Tell Ss about the important of pronunciation
18. Play the cassette and Ss point out the intonation + Ss repeat
19. Write other examples on white board and then Ss practice in pairs
20. Ask Ss about their family
What does your brother do?
What is she doing right know?
21. Write down the answer on white board and then explain present continuous
22. Ask Ss to analyze the present continuous by comparing to the present
23. Ask Ss to complete the conversation
24. Check Ss’ task and then divide class then Practice in pairs

26. Give time limitation before Ss’ discussed

 Ss are able to compare about family in different countries
 Ss are able to practice conversation about family size and see quantifier in context
 Ss are able to practice quantifiers in present facts
 Ss are able to write an Email describing one’s family
 Ss are able to find out the specific information

Procedures:

1. Greeting
2. Review Ss about the previous lesson
3. Brainstorming about family facts in Indonesia
4. Ask Ss to read Snapshot and discuss it about in a class
5. Ask the Ss about Family :
 How many brothers do you have?
 How many sisters do you have?
 etc
6. Play the cassette, Ss listen first, then ask Ss to repeat
7. Have Ss practice conversation in pairs
8. Ask 2/3 Ss to present in the class after gotten model first
9. Present the quantifier by showing the flash card
10. Explain the grammar quantifier
11. Ask Ss to finish the activity(task)
12. Check Ss’ task then ask Ss to make their own sentences using quantifiers
13. Then ask Ss to describe their family on white board

14. Ask Ss to write email after getting explanation about what they will do
15. Control Ss in writing email
16. Have Ss their email to others
17. Ask Ss about their activities when their parents work.

18. Ask Ss to find 8/9 words in the article and in which paragraph those words
19. T reads the reading passage and then have Ss practice reading aloud in
