Specialised Cells Specialised cells are cells that develop certain characteristic to perform a particular function.

Palisade cell Adaptation- these have many chloroplast that use light to make food . Function- it absorbs sunlight to carry out photosynthesis Found in leaves

Root Hair Cells Adaptations – These cells have bit sticking out from them that look like hair Function – It helps in absorbing water

Red Blood Cells Adaptations These cells contain haemoglobin (a substance that carries oxygen). Biconcave shape Function – Carries oxygen

Sperm Cells Adaptation – They have a tail to move them towards the egg cell Function – It fertilises the egg to pass on genetic information and produce the next generation

Nerve Cells Adaptation – It is very long to help carry signals quickly Function – I carries signals from one part of the body to another Fond in nervous system
