LIVING IN THE WILL OF GOD CHRISTIAN EDUCATION PREPARED BY: MS. DIGNA A. CASTRO

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ROMANS 12:2 (NIV) BIBLE VERSE

Opening Thought: Purpose of the Message: Many people ask, “What is God's will for my life?” Understanding God’s will requires a heart of surrender and a relationship with Him. To understand what it means to live in alignment with God’s will and how we can discern and follow His direction. introduction

Providential Will of God: What God has planned and will accomplish no matter what (Isaiah 46:10 – “My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please”). God will lay down all His message (Galatians 4:4-5 – “But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.”). God uses anything to show His will (Galatians 4:4-5 – “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”). The Nature of God’s Will

Moral Will of God: Revealed in Scripture, this is what God desires from us in terms of righteousness, obedience, and moral living. Deuteronomy 29:29 (1 Thessalonians 4:3 – “It is God's will that you should be sanctified”) We should control our own body (1 Thessalonians 4:4-5 – “that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God.”) The Nature of God’s Will

Moral Will of God: God will punish to those people who take advantage to the weak (1 Thessalonians 4:6 – “and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before.”) Be joyful always, give thanks to all circumtances (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”) The Nature of God’s Will

1 Prayer and Intimacy with God: The more we seek God in prayer, the more sensitive we become to His guidance (James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God”). How to Discern God’s Will 2 Studying God’s Word: Scripture is the primary way God reveals His will. Knowing His word allows us to align our decisions with His truth (Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path”). 3 The Role of the Holy Spirit: The Spirit helps us understand God's will by prompting us, guiding us, and convicting us (John 16:13 – “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth”). 4 Seeking Godly Counsel: Often, God uses others in the body of Christ to help us discern His will (Proverbs 11:14 – “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety”).

Submitting to God’s Will Trust in God’s Plan: Surrendering Our Desires: Obedience and Action: Even when it doesn’t make sense, trusting that God’s will is for our good and His glory (Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you…”). Following God’s will sometimes means setting aside our own plans (Luke 22:42 – “Yet not my will, but yours be done”). Knowing God's will is one thing, but it requires faith-filled obedience to live it out (James 1:22 – “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says”).

Peace and Joy: God’s Glory: When we are in God’s will, we experience a deep peace that surpasses understanding, regardless of circumstances (Philippians 4:6-7). Living in alignment with God's will brings glory to Him and points others to Christ (Matthew 5:16). God’s will is where our lives bear the most fruit for His kingdom (John 15:5 – “If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit”). The Blessings of Walking in God’s Will Fruitfulness and Fulfillment:

God will for us is good, pleasing, and perfect. Good - He created all the things on earth. Pleasing to you, but does it please to God? Perfect are you doing exactly what is God's plan. Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Conclusion:
