DEFINITION The reproductive system of an organism, also known as the genital system, is the biological system made up of all the anatomical organs involved in sexual reproduction .
MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM The male reproductive system includes a group of organs that make up a man’s reproductive and urinary system. Functions They produce, maintain and transport sperm and semen.
They discharge sperm into the female reproductive tract. They produce and secrete male sex hormones. The male reproductive system is made up of internal (inside your body) and external (outside your body) parts. Together, these organs help you urinate have sexual intercourse and make children.

FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS The female reproductive system is a group of organs that work together to enable reproduction, pregnancy, and childbirth. The female sex organs consist of both internal and external genitalia. Together they comprise the female reproductive organs, supporting sexual and reproductive activities.
The organs in the female reproductive system include the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, and vagina. The uterus has a muscular outer layer called the myometrium and an inner lining called the endometrium .

ovaries The ovary is an organ in the female reproductive system that produces an ovum .
FALLOPIAN TUBES Two long, slender tubes that connect the ovaries to the uterus. Eggs pass from the ovaries, through the fallopian tubes, to the uterus.
cervix The cervix is the lower end of the womb (uterus) . It is at the top of the vagina
vagina The vagina is an elastic, muscular canal with a soft, flexible lining that provides lubrication and sensation. The vagina connects the uterus to the outside world.
