2. Digital Projectors The information I found most helpful about digital projectors is all the features it has to offer! The projector attaches to a computer and displays real-time computer images. The projector also displays software or internet activities to a large group. Using a digital projector in my future classroom will be a great asset to my teaching. It will allow me to share more information with students and make teaching the lessons more interesting.

3. Digital Video Disk (DVD) I am very excited about all the new information I have acquired about an digital video disk. I had no idea that you can store 4.7 GB of data on a DVD. I also did not know that DVD recorders has features that allow you to record a video digitally and save it to a DVD for playback at a later time. It would be great to have one of these for my classroom! I could record videos of the students and then record them to a DVD to share with parents and others!

4. Digital Video Camera The information that I found most useful about a digital video camera is that the camera can capture and store images in a digital format that can be downloaded to a computer. This would go great with a DVD recorder. I could use the digital video camera in my classroom, filming the students and then record the data to a DVD and share the DVD’s with parents and others!

5. Live Cams I found the information on live web cams to be very interesting and useful! Live cams are cameras that are connected to a computer, which in turn is c onnected to the internet. The camera shares a digitalized video image of w hatever it is pointed at. Then you can view the digital video feed by a ccessing a web site that is sharing the camera’s images. I think it would b e neat to have a live webcam in my classroom! Then parents could log on a nd see what their child is doing at any part of the day.

6. Getting Permission for Videos and Cameras I honestly did not consider parents not wanting their child to be video taped or have their picture taken. After reading the information that some parents feel like it is a violation of their child’s privacy, I will have to make sure that I get a parent’s permission to take picture and video of their child. I would notify the parents of when or where I would be taking pictures or video and I would also notify the parents of what the video and pictures will entail and how they will be displayed. Checking with the district’s and my school’s requirements, would be another plan I would have to make to ensure that I follow all the correct regulations.
