Express 6 km in metres. Solution 1 km = 1000 m 6 km = 6 x 1000 = 6000 m
Express 4 mm in metres. Solution 1 mm = m 4 mm = 4 x = 0.004 m
Express 10 c m in metres. Solution 1 cm = m 10 c m = 10 x = 0.01 m
Express 12 m 4 cm in millimetres. Solution 1 m = 1000 mm 12 m = 12 x 1000 = 12000 mm 1 cm = 10 mm 4 cm = 4 x 10 mm = 40 mm 12 m 4 cm = 12000 mm + 40 mm = 12040 mm
Choose the correct option How many metres are there in 6.5 km? 6500 m 650 m Correct answer 6500 m
From 2 m of cloth 75 cm is taken out. How long cloth is left now? Solution: 1 m = 100 c m 2 m = 2 x 100 = 200 c m If 75 cm is taken out = 200 cm – 75 cm = 125 cm 1 cm = m 125 cm = m = 1. 25 m
