Matt Conway -Louisville
Attorney in Private Practice | Graduate of the Brandeis
School of Law at the University of Louisville

Matt Conway continued his academic journey at Emory University in Atlanta,
earning a bachelor’s degree in History while also minoring in Philosophy and
Political Science.

These studies not only honed his critical thinking and ethical reasoning but also
deepened his understanding of societal structures and human behavior—qualities
that continue to inform his legal practice today.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Matt Conway remained in Atlanta,
gaining early professional experience outside the traditional classroom setting.

Matt Conway worked in the restaurant industry, where he learned the value of
hard work and interpersonal communication, and later served as a law clerk at
Alston & Bird LLP, one of the city’s most prestigious law firms. This exposure to
complex legal work and professional rigor further solidified his decision to pursue
a career in law.

Returning home to Louisville, Matt Conway enrolled at the University of Louisville’s
Brandeis School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2003. Following
graduation, he entered the legal field through real estate law, developing strong
analytical and transactional skills.

Matt Conway’s drive to serve the public soon led him into prosecution—first as an
Assistant County Attorney and later as a Commonwealth Attorney. These roles
provided invaluable insight into Kentucky’s criminal justice system, allowing him to
understand the intricacies of prosecution and the importance of balanced, ethical
advocacy.
