Memes for a lockdown Covid-19 meme collection
What’s this ? We’re going through hard times due to the pandemic and we should all be responsible and stay home so we can slow it down and eventually bring it to an end . But , in the meanwhile , we should also keep our minds active and, most important , never lose our sense of humour . That’s why we’re holding a meme contest . This presentation is meant ot show you some memes, either pictures or videos, in English or Spanish , so you can find some inspiration to create your own .
What’s a meme? A meme is a virally-transmitted photograph that is embellished with text that pokes fun at a cultural symbol or social idea. The majority of modern memes are captioned photos that are intended to be funny, often as a way to publicly ridicule human behavior. Other memes can be videos and verbal expressions.
Rules There are some rules to follow . Please , stick to them . Memes not observing these rules will be left out . Don’t use offensive images or offensive language . The point is having fun , not hurting other people . Use any format you like , but we recommend using photographs or videos and, of course , text . Related themes include anything related to covid19 : the pandemic , the lockdown ( habits , effects ,…), preventing infection … Check your spell ing before submitting your memes. If you know the name of the person who originally took the photo or shot the video, mention him / her . Be positive, be optimistic , be smart .
