SSCE Steps in Micro Teaching 1.Planning: A single concept of subject is selected and planned carefully to be taught within 5 to 6 minutes of duration. The plan is called Micro lesson plan or episode. 2.Teach: A class of 5 to 10 peer students are selected and the lesson planned earlier must be presented or taught for 5 to 6 minutes bringing all components of the skill under practice. The student-teacher who teaches is called Micro teacher.
SSCE Steps in Micro Teaching 3.Feed-back: After teaching a micro lesson for 5-6 minutes the micro-teacher is provided with systematic feedback on his teaching performance with a view to help to improve it in subsequent trials . 4.Re-planning: D uring the next session the micro teacher sits alone and re-plans his lesson by incorporating the feedback received.
SSCE Steps in Micro Teaching 5.Re-teach: Re-teach session by the microteacher is practiced by reteaching the planned lesson to a different set of pupils. His reteach behaviors are again supervised and recorded. 6 .Re-Feedback: There will be a re-feedback regarding the re taught lesson. This cycle continues till the desired level of competency or master over the skill is acquired
SSCE DURATION OF M.T Planning- --------- Teaching- 06 Mins Feedback- 06 Mins 36 Mins Re- Teaching- 06 Mins Re- Planning- 12 Mins Re- Feedback- 06 Mins
SSCE Advantages of M.T 1 It Focuses on Training for the Accomplishment of Specific Skills 2 Expends the Results of Feedback Dimension in Teaching 3 Provides Oppertunity to view thier own Performance and Can Make Self Criticism
SSCE Continued...... Advantages of M.T 4 Gives Guidelines for Improvement of Teaching 5 Facilitate Replanning, Reteaching, Refeedback till Desired Skill Achieved. 6 It is real Teaching
SSCE Limitations of M.T Limitations Need More Time Only Simulated Technique Expensive Technique Not Complete Itself
