-Miliaria is one of the disorders
affecting the sweat duct.
-Miliaria result from disruption of
sweet ductal integrity with
consequence sweet secretion into layers
of the epidermis.
-Ultraviolet exposure, resident
organisms on skin, and repeated
episode are facilitating factors.
causes
.During exposure to intense heat or after local
injection of cholinergic agents, the affected skin
can be uniformly covered with multiple discrete ,
flesh-colored papules that resemble gooseflesh .
.Ductal blockage at various levels is the immediate
cause of miliaria.
Types(depend on clinical and
histopathology findings)
1-Miliaria crystalina
ď‚—Consists of superficial, subcorneal,
noninflamatory vesicles that easily rupture
when rubbed with the finger.
ď‚—Common in the infants in warmed
environments.
2-miliaria rubra( Prickly heat)
ď‚—Result when obstructed sweat migrates into the
epidermis as well as the upper dermis, causing
pruritic inflammatory papules around the sweat
pores.
ď‚—Common in infants, but also occur in children
and adults after repeated episode of sweating in
a hot, humid environment.
ď‚—The eruption usually subsides within a day after
the patient moves to a cool environment.
ď‚— Miliaria
crystallina
3-Miliaria pustulosa:
ď‚—Some of the eruptions of miliaria rubra become
pustular, resulting in miliaria pustulosa.
4-Miliaria profunda:
ď‚—Results when the sweat leaks in to the deeper
dermis.
