The Military Nursing Service (MNS) offers positions in the Indian Army, allowing students to serve for a limited period. This presents a valuable opportunity for girls and women aspiring to become Nursing officers in the Indian Army.
To join the medical nursing service after the 12th, candidates must meet strict eligibility criteria and follow a disciplined selection process.
Short Service Commission is granted to those who have completed a B.Sc.(Nursing), Post Basic(PB) B.Sc.(Nursing), or M.Sc.(Nursing). Aspiring candidates should stay informed about the military nursing service after 12th for a fulfilling career in the Indian Army.
Here are the eligibility criteria for the Indian Army BSc Nursing exam. Students need to meet these criteria to be eligible for the exam:
Nationality: The student’s nationality must be Indian.
Age Limit: Students must be between 17 and 24 years old, as per the specified date in the notification.
Educational Qualification: Both exams require students to have completed Class 12th in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. Additionally, students should hold an MSc (Nursing) / PB BSc (Nursing) / BSc(Nursing) from an INC recognized University and be a registered Nurse and registered Midwife from a State Nursing Council.
Physical Standards: Students must meet the specified physical and medical fitness standards. The minimum height for female candidates entering the Armed Forces is 152 cm, 147 cm for candidates from Northeastern States.

year by the Directorate General of Medi-cal Services (Indian
Army) for admission to a four-year B.Sc (Nursing)
programme at Armed Forces Medical Services Nursing
Colleges (AFMS).

open to female candidates and gives admission to one of

Why NEET !
•A significant change to the MNS exam had occurred in 2022.
MNS is now administered through NEET.
•The Indian Army's BSc nursing application form will be
available online through the Directorate General of Medical
Sciences at joinindianarmy.nic.in (DGMS).
Armed Forces Medical Services Colleges of Nursing.
•NEET (UG) scores will be used to shortlist candidates for
admission to BSc(N) courses for MNS via NEET at Armed
Forces Medical Services Colleges of Nursing.
•As a result, all applicants seeking admission should register
for NEET (UG).

•Candidates must, however, fill out the MNS application form
as soon as it is available.
•The form will be accessible in June, according to the
