Introduction to NEP What is NEP 2020? The National Education Policy 2020 is a comprehensive policy framework for education in India. Aims to transform India's education system Focuses on accessibility, equity, and quality Emphasizes the importance of education in nation-building It seeks to provide a more inclusive, flexible, and holistic educational framework.

Vision for School Education: Ensures equitable access to quality education. Develops cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. New Structure of School Education (5+3+3+4 Model ) The NEP 2020 proposes a new structure for school education, which includes:- 5 years of foundational education (ages 3-8) 3 years of preparatory education (ages 8-11) 3 years of middle education (ages 11-14) 4 years of secondary education (ages 14-18)

Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) FLN Mission: To ensure that every child achieves foundational literacy and numeracy by grade 3. Implementing early intervention and teaching techniques to achieve 100% literacy and numeracy.

Middle Education 3 Years of Middle Education (Ages 11-14) Introduction to more advanced subjects (social sciences, sciences, mathematics) Focus on developing skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication Emphasis on interdisciplinary And competency-based learning.

Secondary Education 4 Years of Secondary Education (Ages 14-18) Further development of skills in various subjects Specialization in specific subjects (ages 16-18) Focus on developing skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration
