4. What is critique? A form of academic writing which allows the writers to critically evaluate a subject and include their opinions based on their analysis. A critique as a form of academic writing could be applied to analyze various materials such as arts, literary works, research, and media articles. One example of a critique is a Movie Review.

5. Why do we critique? We write a critique to evaluate the quality of a material or work and understand its purpose. We also criticize a work to find out its strengths and weaknesses.

9. FILM INTRO Introduce the film by saying that you have just watched it and would like to share your opinion on it. Indicate a few details that will help the reader understand what type of film you are referring to.
