WHY TEACH IN THE US? The American Dream Teacher Cultural Exchange
RULES 1. Stay SEATED and QUIET when the teacher is teaching. 2. FOOD is ONLY ALLOWED in the cafeteria. 3. DISRESPECT is not an option. 4. CELLPHONES are ONLY ALLOWED with permission from the teacher. 5. Leaving the room without permission is ground for an INTERNAL SUSPENSION. 6. Keep your HANDS and FEET to YOURSELF.
EXPECTATIONS Students MUST be Respectful to Teachers and Classmates. ALL work MUST be neat. ALL homework MUST be turned in ON the due date to get credit. Students MUST raise their hands to get the teachers attention. Always do your BEST.

DAILY AGENDA Take 5- 10 minutes to Copy Do Now question/activity and your Answer in Your Composition Notebook Write down any homework assignments in your agenda notebook Wait for Teacher to begin instruction Assignments are to be turned in the appropriate basket
CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
CLASSROOM ENTRANCE Line up on the outside wall of the classroom Wait for the teacher to open the door Walk in quietly and answer the DO NOW activity Wait for the teacher's instructions.
CLASSROOM EXIT Pack up quietly WHEN you are told to do so. THE BELL DOESN'T DISMISS YOU! WALK out of classroom one behind the other.
LATE STUDENTS Knock 3 times Sign in the Tardy Sign in Sheet Walk quietly to your seat without disrupting your fellow students
BATHROOM PROCEDURE Raise your hand to get teacher’s attention. If approved, get the PASS and walk quietly to the restroom. Go to the NEAREST restroom to YOUR class. You are only allowed to be out for 3 minutes or I will call the security to fetch you. No bathroom break before the FIRST or LAST 10 minutes of class!
MY RESPONSIBILITIES To Treat you with care and respect. To provide you an orderly classroom. To provide you the necessary discipline. To teach you the required content. To provide the appropriate motivation .
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES To treat me with care and respect. To attend classes regularly. To be cooperative and not disruptive. To study and do your best (success = effort) To learn and master the required content.
MY GOALS FOR 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR You can expect an adventurous journey learning Literature and Writing. Sticking to the rules and procedures will guarantee a smooth learning experience. I will give you my very best everyday and ask the same from you in return.
