CURRENT SCENARIO OF FARMING India is an agricultural based country , But till now our farmers are doing farming in same traditional ways. They are doing seed sowing, fertilizers and pesticides spraying , cultivating by conventional methods. There is need of development in this sector and most commonly on fertilizers pesticides spraying technique , because it requires more efforts and time to spray by traditional way . In order to boost the nations agricultural and food production, there is a need of some advance and specialized equipments , machineries to be implement.

CONCEPT To make a machine which can work as an pesticides or fertilizers spreaders and sprayers, driven by an combination of that machine and self propelled farming vehicles. “ Multi-nozzle Spraying machine” is fully integrated mechanical system which is composed of various hydraulic equipment's and some newly designed parts that work together to achieve desired effect of projection of spray fluid at any atmospheric conditions.

HOW PRODUCT IMPROVES PROBLEMS Use of special type of dog clutch. Covers wide range of plants. Less amount of pesticides needed. Time consumed is reduced. Reduction in manpower. Reduction in cost. Safety of farmer increases as compared to conventional method.

MULTI-NOZZLE SPRAYING MACHINE FOR AGRICULTURAL PURPOSE Definition: An hydraulic machine which is used to spray and to spread a liquid by connecting to a engine. Principle: multi-nozzle spraying machine is a machine used to apply liquid chemicals on plants to control pest and diseases, it applies herbicides to control weeds and can spray micro-nutrients to enhance plant growth. Main function of this machine is Distributing the droplets uniformly over the plants, Regulating the amount of liquid applied on plants to avoid excessive application.

HOW THE LIQUID FLOW TAKES PLACE ?

SOFTWARE MODELS OF SOME IMPORTANT PARTS : Machine chassis used to provide support to all equipments and consists of Bottom frame, Channel frame, Front frame, sliding frame, vertical pillar and leg stand.

Fan Blower assembly Fan blower provides an high velocity to liquid stream and gives proper distribution to it and consists of Inlet plate, Suction ring, Cone, Bend channel and triangle support.

CALCULATIONS Specifications of PTO shaft for Mahindra model N= 1000 rpm T= 172 Nm power(P) = 2(3.142)(1000)(172)/60 Output power = 18KW = 24Hp 2) Suitable power range for agricultural sprayer HTP pump is in between 3-8 HP so, for first trial only we have selected 5Hp HTP pump P= 5* 746 = 3730 W= 4KW 3) Selected nozzle size is 1 inch flow from each nozzle = Total flow from pump no. of nozzles =60/8 = 7.25 lpm

. 4) Power distribution PPTO = PHTP Pump + PFAN 24 = 5 + PFAN P = 19Hp To achieve power of 19Hp we have selected fan of 22 inches dia.

WHATS UNIQUE IN THIS IDEA ? Manually operated Dog Clutch While designing of this spraying machine to operation of axial fan was the most crucial part, to run the fan when necessary and to keep it neutral when not to use. So we had a option to use “speed reduction gear box”, but trouble was that it has some limitations as it creates more friction(loss of power, noise generation by vibrations) and it makes system bulky. So we have developed a part that will work same as gear box and it doesn’t have such limitations. It makes smooth and silent operation of fan and it is just 1/4 th approx. to gear box by weight. So the developed part will be more preferable in most of the future applications.

SPECIALLY DEVELOPED HANDLE FOR CLUTCH To make whole system operator friendly and for it’s easy operation we have designed a specially fabricated clutch handle which can be manufactured by LASER cutting. We can see drafting of exploded view of operating handle.

AT WHICH PHASE NOW IDEA IS ? 1. Liquid Tank According to required output from nozzle and other design considerations, tank of 200 liters is selected for spraying machine. 2. Adjustable nozzles for proper distribution of liquid over a land an 8 adjustable brass nozzles are selected for hoses. 3. HTP Pump For the provision of optimum pressure and diffuse liquid for spraying the analysis is done on several pumps, but for better results analysis is continue till now. 4. Manual Dog Clutch Two attempts are done by Aluminium casting but rejected in tolerances, after proper calculations and design now it is in fabrication phase as well as handle also. 5. Fan Blower Some parts are manufactured by forging, bending such as fan cover by using two materials as stainless steel and aluminum. Conclusion is that the whole project is currently in Analysis phase at different conditions.
