Types of Musical Texture A. Monophony- means one - a single melodic line with no harmony or accompaniment Example: Accapela , a group of instrumentalists as long as they sing and play the same note or in unison and without accompaniment .
Types of Musical Texture B. Polyphonic- means many - produced when two or more melodies are combined all at once Example: round song, large instrumental groups such as bands or orchestras
Types of Musical Texture C. Homophonic- when a melody is accompanied by an instrument . Example: acoustic performer, A singer accompanied by a guitar picking or strumming chords.
